To my shame, I was one of those people who kind of made a point not to care about what was going on. I had my wife, daughter, our home, good income etc., and I was comfortable that way. I figured politics and "all that stuff" that goes on in Washington, D.C. and our state government would never affect me or my family in an adverse way, so I wasn't worried. I was asleep or brainwashed (that's what my wife would say), so much so that I and others like me have almost let our country get to the point of no return.
