I think one of the more interesting classes I ever took was Jurisprudence. I began to think I would go to law school. And then I started realizing that I had more integrity in my little pinky than the entire system. But one of the main reasons I decided not to pursue a law degree was "legalities" and in particular guilty people that admit their crimes and the courts would let them off on technicalities. But I studied the Constitution. And then you get out in the real world expecting these "Rights" and "Guarantees" and the system walks all over people, especially when they stand up for them. Moreso, the government is Unconstitutional and Unaccountable.
I first got enthusiastic about Ron Paul by watching the Iowa Straw Poll Speech. That got me fired up and looking at him as a Presidential hopeful more and more. I soon realized that there were others that stood up for the things I believed in and spoke in more detail about the things I began to understand.
I want to take this country back. I also hope to network with others and share ideas about how to accomplish this. I am kind of an idealist to a degree, and it sad to see reality set in. But when the fight gets ugly that is when you have to reach down for your true inner strength, with every bit of tenacity, and whatever you got left, and lay it on the line. You have to pick and choose your battles, and that I have done, sometimes to no avail. But when you get knocked down, and sometimes by cheap shots, you pick yourself up and give them what you got left. You always do your best, because that is all anybody can ask of themselves.
I enjoy political theory and philosophy, reading and writing, thinking outside the box, and have always loved the science of argumentation. My family thinks I am out there, because I believe the system has failed, as they tell me the system works fine for them, but then again, I know where they get their information from, and that is sitting in front of the TV.
I have been around the block and to 37 states, and hope to hit them all before I die. The people are great, the scenery is incredible, but it's too bad the government takes its citizenry for granted.
I enjoy hanging out with my soon to be 14 year old Rotweiller, and he is the best friend a guy could ever ask for. I enjoy homebrewing, typically top fermented ales, and I just got a Kegerator!! I entered my 4th Year of Mixed Martial Arts and go to one of the toughest gyms around and I find solace in giving everything I got, because I know I won't be able to do it forever. I think there is more to life than death, taxes and traffic jams, and I am in pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I don't believe this is too much to ask for either. My Content: My Forum Posts: |
