I am a mother, an american with german and irish roots, open-minded, laid back, a hippie, silly, confident, outgoing, shy and reserved, Im not perfect and I accepted that a long time ago, but i like who I have become and who I might be in the future. I was teased in High School for many different reasons but Im glad I was, Im glad for everything and everyone I have lost, and every bad thing I have ever gone through. My experiences have made me who I am. I tend to be an optimist who always sees the bright side of things but im skeptical about anything that I haven't seen proof for.
If someone asked me what advice i would give to be happy in life I would say
1. Dont sweat the small stuff - remind yourself EVERY TIME you get upset or angry about something silly or small that someone out there in the world is going through something WAY MORE HORRIBLE. getting upset over traffic and other piddly crap will only cause 4 things, pimples, wrinkles, weight, and alzheimers
2. Carpe Diem (Seize the Day) - do something every single day that makes it special. either a good deed, or a treat, or a walk, or drive out to the nature center, WHATEVER you can do to make it different from the day before
3. Learn something new every day - pick one thing every single day and look it up on the internet, {or library} go to more than one website about the subject, person, or thing. make a notepad document with facts or info. (or a regular notebook even better) in one year you will not only RAISE your IQ by 10% but you will also replenish 7 times as many braincells in that year than you would have otherwise. AND you will add another year to your life. you also cut down the risk of alzheimers by 30% My Content: My Forum Posts: My 4 Friends: |
