About me:

In short, I am a Turnpike Doubles Driver working almost exclusively on the New York Thruway. I am a High School Graduate and I have never been to college. I have traveled to all parts of this country except for Hawaii and I have lived in Europe and travelled as far as western Russia. All I want to see is that we return to where it is we came from. I am 31 years old and have only been able to dream about what it would be like to live under the Constitution. Instead I live under one oppression after another. I even avoid eating anything with poppy seeds on it because it would show up on a random drug test as heroine. I do believe that people charged with the transport of our goods and people ought to be held to a higher standard of conduct but I also believe that our "authorities" ought to be taught to differenciate between a drug user and someone eating poppy seeds on a bagel. If my tests were to come back as positive, I would stand to lose my livlihood, my income and my career. Since I am not a drug user of any sort, it would be possibly over a bagel. I believe that the root of our problems stem from the utter lack of any substance in our education system. I believe it is one more thing that the government controls that it has no business to. We were doing just fine before we were "rescued". I am not, as one police officer put it, "a mere civilian"; however, I am a citizen and that is good enough for me. We all need to realize what it is to be a citizen and behave accordingly. As a truck driver, I have seen first hand what police officers are capable of treating the citizens they are charged to "protect and to serve" with but I have seen many more examples of what we as citizens are capable of treating each other with due to a general lack of a willingness to understand. I am a simple man, I see what is happening around me and I think it is high time for us to put away our toys and TVs and accept the responsibility we all are charged with.
