About me:
Nemesis appears as a form visible to mortal man in the image beside this writing. Here is her story, from the words of the Ancients: Deadly Night bore Nemesis to afflict mortal men, and apportion out all things to be cursed or blessed. From her one cannot run away, as Nemesis follows him, avenging hubris and unrestrained words. Unnoticed, she walks at his feet, snaps his haughty neck, and holds sway over his sustenance. It is here, in the palace, that a wise king gives judgment, and he hangs four rings from the ceiling to engage him with Nemesis, and to remind him not to exalt himself above humanity. For he should fear the vengeance of the gods, and the unforgiving wrath of Nemesis. She is called Adrasteia-- one from whom there is no escape. Nemesis-- winged balancer of life; the giver of what is due.
