Bill Dumas Member since: Contacting Bill Dumas: Details Single Grad/Professional School Video Production Director, Ron Paul 2008 PCC Tags Ron Paul Video Production Filmmaker Campaign Staff musician actor | My Blog Posts: About me: I'm a film/video producer, musician and actor living in Los Angeles. Since January of 2007 I have been working for Ron Paul 2008. Just before that time I was going to produce a documentary about Constitutional politics and Ron Paul with Ron Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. Over the holidays of 2006, Kent convinced Dr. Paul to run for President. The documentary project was put aside so we could plan the campaign. About two weeks later Kent and Campaign Manager Lew Moore came out to Los Angeles and we spent two days at the Comfort Inn in Hollywood planning the internet campaign. I put a web team together and then started video taping the campaign trips for our YouTube site. Within two weeks we had a bare bones website up an running, though we would have loved to have had six months of development time. The response from Ron Paul supporters wanting to get involved was overwhelming. A friend of mine suggested looking into Meetup.com. I quickly checked it out and set up a Meetup group in Pasadena. After putting a link on the campaign homepage the grassroots organization took off like wildfire. As much as we tried to organize the Meetup groups, we finally realized it was best just to get out of the way (even today, there are till efforts to organize/control the Meetup groups and I still stand by the Ron Paul decentralizing theory - just get out of the way and work locally and worry about your own community.)
