Seem strange?

Isn't that what we already approve of when the FBI infiltrates - *ahem, monitors, political opposition groups? Surely if the agents weren't allowed in, the group would be breaking the law.

You've got a point. The obvious solution is to federally mandate that every group of like minded individuals be required to include in their voluntary group token members with opposing viewpoints.
