Dear Dr Paul,
We the people, your faithful followers, are winning national delegate spots all across the country for you. You have a lot more supporters than you "envisioned" a year ago, more than I think you realize now.
There are a ton of UNBOUND Delegates for McCain that can be swayed your way if they were to see you and he go at it head to head in a televised debate.
Our suggestion is that, along with running ads here and there around the country. Challenge John McCain to a nation wide debate and offer to donate $1,000,000 to the charity of his choice. (An offer he can't refuse.)
Obama and Clinton have had many debates but you and the Senator haven't had one.
We know that you will win as always and the unbound delegates will swing your way! This is important and will most assuredly get you a speaking spot at the national convention!
Please consider making the announcement, like you did with Rudy's Reading list!
Thank you for your consideration.
(MY COMMENT)
What a GREAT idea! Instead of putting the pressure of funding the $1,000,000 debate price tag on the Ron Paul campaign; how about we do what we as Ron Paul supporters have done thus far and do it ourselves!!!
I can see a "Ron Paul vs. John McCain Debate Money Bomb"
I honestly think that the Ron Paul supporters are doing everything they can to give Ron Paul the exposure that he deserves, but I also think that we are running out of ideas, we are getting tired of being ignored by the mainstream media... Not to say that we are giving up or are defeated, as Ron Paul has said,
"Freedom is popular!"
I think its time to let our "Heavyweight Fighter" (Ron Paul) do what he does best and debate McCain one on one!
So I don't know who is responsible for the prior money bombs but this would be a GREAT way to get Ron Paul on the stage!!!
Trevor Lyman could hold a press conference and announce the idea and show Ron Paul accepting the offer and then see if McCain steps up or backs down...
Lets run with this I think this could be HUGE
(SOMEONE ELSE SAID)
A rumor can be spread that Dr Paul has a "significant campaign announcement" to make. The MSM will jump on that, thinking that he will be dropping out from the race, or endorsing McCain (yeah, right! snicker!). That'll guarantee strong attendance at the press conference. Pick the National Press Club, in Washington DC, as the venue.
This can be great!
********WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK ABOUT THIS IDEA?*********
and if anyone has direct contact with Trevor Lyman maybe they could shoot this idea to him...
Thanks and hope to hear some feedback...

Never gonna happen though. Spread the idea around see if it goes viral.
Yo
Our time is NOW.
I never want to be the negative-nelly in a situation, but look at it from McCain's perspective. What good could possibly come from engaging in a debate with Ron Paul. He knows he will lose, as he has every time he's ever tried... The MSM won't allow it either... and even if they did, they'd spin questions to make RP look the fool, while asking McCain questions like, "Do you like to eat Pizza?"
Admirable, and I will support it, but I just don't see McCain or the MSM falling for it or going for it...
It really doesnt do much to help McCain's cause, I think thats why it's such a good idea!
IF this is released the right way (as a major political/campaign announcement) then all of the MSM outlets will be watching and for McCain to back down would be a total disaster for his campaign...
Though I agree; I dont see WHAT McCain stands to gain by debating Ron Paul. But if he doesnt he:
1) doesnt support the veterans charity
2) shows that he is not confident in his campaign
If he doesnt debate him I think that may be a huge sign to the masses that McCain isnt as sure of himself as he comes across... if he wont even debate "Little 'ol Ron Paul" :)
who knows, lets get the word out about this idea and see if it spreads
I don't think McCain has the intelligence or the sack to do it. His campaign wouldn't do it for these reasons. IMHO
Though if worded right we might be able to catch the MSM with their pants down...
but highly improbable.
The media will ignore it as will McCain.
Definetely worth the price of the publicity that would result from it. But probably, one hundred grand would be enough.

Yeah, maybe... I just think that all the Ron Paul supporters are LOOKING for what's next, we have collectively raised $6million dollars in one day so I don't think "breaking that record" is going to shock anyone...
BUT, if Ron Paul were to hold a press conference (make a big deal about this "announcement") and then say that he is willing to donate $X amount of money to John McCains favorite charity, it will do a couple things...
1) Show the Mainstream media that all we want is Ron Paul to have a chance at a unbiased debate with Senator McCain
2) It will show the MSM that the Ron Paul supporters are willing to donate money for this cause and not just "put money in Ron Pauls pockets" as they have stated before...
3) It will put McCain in a tight spot because if he doesn't accept the offer he will look like he is scared, or that he doesn't care about X charity!
THIS IS HUGE!,
This whole campaign has been all about outside of the box ideas, I think this would be a great way for Ron Paul's message to get out to the masses...
And sent the email to the campaign. I think this would be incredibly successful, and helpful.
