Hey everyone,
Just interested in getting a feel for those who plan on attending the July 12 Freedom March. I'm obviously most excited about the prospect of hearing Ron Paul in person again. I got a chance to attend one of his rally's in St. Pete, Florida last November. Moving to say the least! Anyways, I'm especially curious to hear if anyone is from the midwest or who will be driving through Illinois on Interstate 80. The idea of a prominent caravan journeying across the country is something I would love to be a part of. Sooo anyone interested in meeting up with me on my way, just reach out!
Any other thoughts, expectations, things to address, throw it out here.

I look forward to it.
I am going to try, it all depends on if my RA will let me or not. So I am crossing my fingers, toes and what ever else I can to make it. As I believe it will be a great day to do that for Ron Paul.
Who is organizing the march? What is the best place to connect about attending it?

dbl post...sorry
The list of organizers is growing in leaps and bounds....there are several sites connected to the march...

I was very excited when June 21st was being looked at. Unfortunately on July 12th I will be somewhere in the Virginia woods near USMC base Quantico for Officer Candidate School, running around with an M16 and a drill instructor breathing down my neck. But I have seen Ron Paul speak and loved every minute of it. Just all of you be sure and get as much of it on video so I can check it out later.
I hope someone is able to come up with a way for all of us to start matching up with others who may be passing through our area. For example, anyone who lives between Illinois and DC and can get to I-80, I would be more than happy to pick a few up along the way.
All very exciting, I'm expecting great things.

Hi all, I have a little information to pass along about the March/Rally in Dc on July 12th...
1st if you have bought your tickets already for June 21st... contact Deborah on ron paul forums... she is trying to help those you can't get out of their reservations....
2nd.. carpooling and caravaning are both being worked out. Right now a caravan from the west coast to dc is in the planning stages with hopes of more coming from the NW (seattle area), from the north and south.... again stop by Ron Paul Forums... there is alot of information to be found and seems to be the main source for organizing this awesome event....
on the carpooling, this is also another issue being addressed on the forums...
We are looking into securing campsites to stay at instead of staying in the costly hotels...in addition local meetups are arranging to house travelers as well...
It is suggested that everyone contact their local/semi-local meetups and start making plans.
stop by www.revolutionmarch.com and make your pledge, sign up to receive email updates....
also the link to the forums is... www.ronpaulforums.com
This is a very exciting time for Ron Paul Revolutioners... we have waited for this day..now the plans are being made, MC's, speakers and musicians are being arranged....
We hope to pull of the Biggest March that DC has ever seen.... (500,000 is the number we hope to beat) We will be marching and then rallying on the west lawn of the capital to hear Ron Paul speak...
Here's a curious question:
Can we camp on the Mall in DC?
Since I'm American, and DC is "my" capital, isn't DC considered "public" land and so therefore I can camp on the Mall? Or am I just wishing? ;)
I will be coming over from the UK and the flight itself is expensive at that time of year....looking for some cheap options! :)
I doubt homeland idiots will let you camp at the mall, but we are currently securing campgrounds, that include cabins as well as ready camps for those who are flying in and can't bring their tents...lol also, we are securing hotels..Best Western has become the Official Hotel for the march... stop by any of the above websites as they are updated daily....
I would love to come to the district of criminals to hear Obi Ron. But unless I can figure out a way to fill my 7 passenger van with folks to help with the cost of fuel (Thanks to "kink" Georgie) I don't see a way to afford it financially. If you are in the North Central or Southern section of Missouri and want to car pool contact me. (Harrison, Arkansas, Branson, Misery err Missouri area).

Go to www.ronpaulforums.com and let folks know you want to carpool. There are alot of people in the same situation... there are also 4 Ronvoys being planned coming from the west coast....join the meetup... http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1881/ Pass the word to all you know...See you July 12th.... you don't want to miss this if at all possible....it's going to be awesome...we are working dilegently to keep everyone's costs as low as possible....
Too bad it took so long to set a date. I already purchased non-refundable airfare for June 21. It'll be our vacation. I hope everyone has fun, I can't be there.
I've seen Paul speak on 3 occasions and I wouldn't miss the March for the world. I hope this catches on and we can get some more great speakers and performers. I will likely be flying out there at this point though I am in the Midwest. Though I am wary with this fiasco with the airlines. Something interesting about that as a side note. Got a call from a close friend today who's son is stationed in Iraq. Apparently the military canceled their contract with ATA and they went bankrupt! To top it all off her son was supposed to be flying back but they don't have a commercial airliner to get them home! His squad leader told him to tell his mom to buy him a ticket home (an exaggeration of course). I didn't know what to make of this but it seems to me to be a big deal. Couldn't find a story anywhere.
