*This is a follow up story to some content I posted the other day regarding Obama and his support of Kenyan socialist/Marxist candidate Ralia Odinga. Admittedly the content was somewhat lacking. But what I read and have learned has really left me stunned. That is why I have chosen to post a more detailed story of my own investigation.

The story of the connection between Barack Obama and Ralia Odinga has been unquestionably the most suppressed news item of the year. A simple story of Barack and his support for Odinga is not easily told or understood. However, the facts are that Barack Obama traveled to Kenya in 2006 to campaign for and support Ralia Odinga in his run for the Presidency in that Nation. The question of why Barack Obama would feel compelled to campaign for Ralia Odinga is not clear. Although Ralia Odinga claims Obama as a cousin and calls him a close personal friend, the likely motivation of Obama to campaign for Ralia Odinga is the tribal connections of Barack Obama’s father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (Obama Jr has dropped the Hussein for obvious political reasons). Barack Hussien Obama Sr. and Ralia Odinga are both from the Luo tribe where familial associations and political alliances are strong; however, deeper motivations for why a US senator would campaign in a foreign country are unclear. What is clear is that the sitting Kenyan Government of Mwai Kibaki was so offended by the meddling of Obama, Obama was called a “stooge.”

If the reader is not offended that a US senator, Barack Obama would campaign in a foreign country for a Socialist/Marxist candidate, what happened in Kenya following the loss of Ralia Odinga should make even the most ardent Obama ideologue upset (well then again maybe not). There are reports that to further garner support, Ralia Odinga signed a pact with Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Leaders Forum, an Islamist group seeking to install Shiaria law into the Kenyan Consititution. After Odinga lost the Kenyan election his followers started riots and ethnic cleansing against the rival Kikuyu tribe and there are many reports of systematic rapes and brutal attacks on Christian churches by Odinga suppoters. Oddly a key link for the ethnic cleansing claim from the AP has been removed! Obamas’ pull with Odinga was so strong that the US state department urged him to call Odinga and try to mitigate the crisis. Obama did make two calls to Odinga during January 2008 during the New Hampshire primary.

So let’s review this horrible and complex story. Our presumptive democratic nominee, Barack Obama, traveled to a foreign country to campaign for a candidate running against one of the most stable governments in Africa. The candidate supported by Barack Obama, through family and tribal relations, appears to have signed a pact with Islamic extremists to impose Shiara law into the constitution of Kenya. Subsequently after the loss of Obamas’ friend/cousin/tribesman in the general election, the followers of Odinga committed horrible atrocities largely against Kikuyu tribal lineages and Christians. The juxtaposition of Kenya to the Sudan, Somalia and Chad and the fact that Obama supported a candidate that seeks to align itself with Sharia promoting Islamists is unreal in the extreme.

I feel like a child casting stones at a passing M1 Tank, surely the child would have more luck at stopping the Tank than I would in my efforts to bring this story to light. Why this story of Obama has not been told is truly incredible. I really feel that BTM exists for the exact reason to tell the stories that no one is telling! Oh and please don’t call me biased or slanderous, I am just trying to educate myself and others.

Like I said

I'm no big Obama fan

People are complex

This post reminds me of people saying Kennedy would serve the Pope

I think I understand why Obama campaigned for him -- from reading your post --- and that's because the man is friends with his father

Because of that I'm not worried that he went there because he agrees politically with the man

Sounds like you answered your own question

early in the post. He went there to do a favor for a friend of his father's

I'm not the biggest Obama fan either -- but I wouldn't trust a politician who turned down
making a visit in support of a family friend over potential negative political ramifications.

Besides I know many U.S. politicians who could be accurately labeled socialist/marxist (I'm thinking of nearly every federal politician) and I know a lot of domestic camaigning has gone on on behalf of these peope.

My advice (well not mine really) would be to "avoid foreign entanglements" That would be my advice for Mr. YO. If Obama wants to visit the old country on behalf of his father --- so be it.

It is disappointing that no

It is disappointing that no one seems to be concerned with the fact that Obama is associated with and campaigned for Odinga. There are serious questions about Odinga. For example:

(from http://africanpress.wordpress.com/2008/01/23/raila-odinga-and-odm-hypocr...)

"In our opinion, Raila, Ruto and other ODM operatives have joined the ranks of Slobodan Milosevic, Agusto Pinochet, Sadam Hussein, Idi Amin, etc as having committed crimes against humanity.

Let it be known that there was no justification for Raila and ODM to rock the country into violence and ethnic cleansing. The fact that they could not follow the known procedures for addressing their concerns of election flaws left a lot to be desired of them, a fact that has rendered them irrelevant in Kenyan politics in the years to come.

The international community should stop meddling in the affairs of our sovereignty as a nation, and work within the framework of international law, agreements and conventions. It is no secret that Raila and Ruto are the key perpetrators of the current genocide in Kenya."

But you know what can you do? Obama is the untouchable candidate all reason and logic are suspended as far as Obama is concerned. I guess if I post stuff about the trilateral commission, buildeburgh, the free masons, and how George W. Bush in connection with the global elite has; infiltrated every aspect of government, have planted microchips in my ass, and control my actions through vaccines and ultrasonic sound, then people would be outraged! It is amazing what passes for content around here lately.

Stay asleep...Repeat after me; Obama is for change, Obama is a great speaker, Obama is a young shinning light in American politics, Obama, Obama, Obama...we can wash away our sins as a nation with Obama. All will be good and just with Obama...Don't look too deep, go back to sleep, we will tell you who is good and who is evil...

Yo

Our time is NOW.

Follow the money.

It may not be as obvious in this case. But, who is involved and what money controls that region is about all you're going to get for clues to what's going on. Obama>Odinga>Kenya>China? Or perhaps Obama>Brezinski>China>Kenya>Odinga. Do you're own research, so I can't be accused of circulating misinformation.

Sorry but that link does not

Sorry but that link does not even address the topic of the post. It is a fact that Obama went to Kenya in 2006 for Odinga, it is not an urban legend. Obama and the association with Odinga is a serious story, what happened after the election is a serious story and why Obama, a US senator, is supporting a man in a foreign country whose movement killed, is a serious story.

The truth in this case has not been reported fully. You may not care, or seek obfuscations, but the populace has remained uniformed. Let them make their own choices. Not media driven choices.

Oh yeah on second reading the:

"But I do know he has been the target of much misinformation.. so please be aware of this readers."

sounds a little like an accusation of fabrication, thanks.

no need to be sorry.

he already stated clearly that the link he posted isn't related.

from the cbs2chicago link:
"After remaining largely silent, the government of President Mwai Kibaki is beginning to respond, suggesting that Obama may have fallen under the spell of opposition leader Raila Odinga. "

that's real proof of wrong doing right there. i now see where you're coming from. scary stuff.
