... Can we please keep the focus on liberty? All kinds of liberty? There are plenty of other websites
that focus on discussions of religious views. I come to this site to get Ideas and participate in the cause
of returning this country to the course that was charted by the founding fathers, not to see people
bashing each other over views that neither party has a hope of changing.

One of the first things that attracted me to this "movement" was the diversity of the people that were
involved. Just in my little meet up, we had a seriously born again person and a pot smoking libertarian
with hair down to his ass, who played percussion in klezmer bands. I knew at the time that eventually
some cracks would appear in this "coalition of the willing", but so soon?

Pardon me for the ad hominem, but the only thing as annoying as religious zealots whose extreme views
ensure that they themselves will be hypocrites, are atheists whose grandiose illusions of their own intellect
refuse to allow that something, or someone in the universe could be more intelligent then they are.

Let's just focus on the task at hand... It will be tough enough.

Wow!! Had to come out for this one. Came out pretty hard on this person , for giving their opinion on this site and their belief in God . The reason I find that so odd is how many here have been ridiculed , criticized ,called a troll or even banned for their opinions and beliefs in Ron Paul . Are we to only have free speech with everything except religion , if this is true then we’ve lost already . For we would be no better than that which we fight against. It’s ok to disagree , but to come out and call someone names or ridicule them because you disagree seems wrong to me. I’m not an expert by far , just your everyday joe blow , but I will say this, I spent six yrs in the marines been around the world twice . I’ve seen enough hate and destruction just because this group disagreed with that group to last a life time.

Where does it end . Do we continue with this sort of attitude or do we try to end it . Do we believe in the constitution and that we are all free men ( and women) or do we separate into I’m right and your wrong there for you are a troll and should be burned at the stake , shot then hung.

For the record I ‘m one of the believers, and this is for benton1967 just because we may disagree on this issue does not mean I would delete you as a friend or condemn you. That’s not my style. I’m not here to convert anyone . I’m here for the open minds and free discussions with out being condemned or crucified . ( lol and yes that is a play on words) .

am not able to make the leap of faith to believe in God. I don't think anyone can truly know until they're dead, and by then it's a little late to brag to your friends about how right you were. That being said, I don't believe anyone should be denied the right to practice whatever they believe in, provided they're not harming anyone else or brainwashing or forcing it down peoples throats in a rude manner. Let people make their own decisions, all you can do is provide them with information. Granted, that information is going to be horribly biased by the persons own belief on religion, whether it be a hardcore christian or a hardcore atheist. America is supposed to be a nation where people can decide for themselves. It should never be a christian nation or a muslim nation or etc. Believing in whatever you want is fine as long as it's not a crutch or a barrier against information, freedom of choice, a wall to divide and conquer.. oppression..so on and so forth. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with this because it's late and I'm overtired, but I definitely don't think this should be a forum category haha.. And I agree with you, Benton

I can understand that you may truly believe this. From my understanding of the God of Abraham, he has a plan for each and every soul. I see this as having also a purpose for the non-believer, for example: a non-believer tests your faith. You should not fear for the soul or the purpose of those who do not believe, for if you have true faith then you know that he has a plan for all. What is asked of you is that you treat the non-believer as if he were a believer, as an equal. Christ did not surround himself with believers all the time. He went out to touch the lives of all by the way he lived his life, not by threats of failure if you did not follow him. Did he? This is one of the reasons I was inspired by Dr. Paul to give the believers another chance. He is a fine example of a true Christian, he leads by example not just words.
