The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
In this day of uncertainty, fear has consumed the hearts and minds of many Americans. It seems as though everywhere we look there is some entity trying to disrupt our peace and destroy our faith. Our minds are full of graffiti tagged by the media. We have government corruption, murder, scandal, moral debauchery, human indecency and fallen leaders.
Where is the hope?
Many a time I have picked up the newspaper or switched on the news, and within minutes, I feel the despair begin to suffocate my serenity. It’s as if dozens of chicken littles’ have invaded our airwaves and day after day flail their arms and exclaim, “the sky is falling! It’s actually quite ridiculous if you think about it, but what’s more ridiculous is some of us actually believe it.
We have a choice. We can surrender to their dreary outlook of humanity and this nation or we can see the sunshine through the clouds. We are the hope! The world is filled with good and sincere people, acts of kindness, noble service, virtuous living, righteous leaders and majestic beauty. By choosing to focus on the brighter side, that is what we will see. Simple as that.
There is enough fearful and negative people trying to pollute our lives and destroy our happiness. We need more strong and positive people to help open the nations eyes to it’s divine destiny. Let us continue to concentrate on what we want to happen and “be the change we want to see in the world.”

Julie,
It has been two months since you wrote your post. Fanny and Freddie have failed, the market didn't rebound, the neocons want to attack Iran more than ever, and we now know that it will get a lot worse before it gets really bad. Do you still think that the sky is not falling?
Carefully read what this FEAR MONGERER had to say:
...Big Events are about to occur. These fast-approaching events will not go unnoticed. They will affect all of us. They will not be limited to just some areas of our country. The world economy and political system will share in the chaos about to be unleashed.
...the course on which we find ourselves will bring even greater conflict and economic suffering...
I'm fearful that my concerns have been legitimate and things may even be worse than I first thought. They are now at our doorstep. Time is short for making a course correction before this grand experiment in liberty goes into deep hibernation.
There are reasons to believe this coming crisis is different and bigger than any the world has ever experienced...
The financial crisis, still in its early stages, is apparent to everyone: ...
I have been angry for about 40 years. I wanted to throw bricks at the news people that long ago. What I cannot understand is that even though they get their livelihoods from the powers that be, there is absolutely no reporter that ever reports the news. One would think that every now and then there would a reporter interested in the truth. Alas, never. If one puts one's salary above the truth, then we will never have the truth. So much for loyalty to our country. There doesn't seem to be any patriots in the news arena.
Taylor Caldwell and the two men, Gary Allen and Larry Abraham, who wrote, "None Dare Call It a Conspiracy", were some who did put their names to something they wrote. Bravo! They were willing to write something that was controversial and they paid for it, but they were patriots, for sure. I am too old to continue throwing bricks at the TV, so you young people will have to do it. 'Hope you don't starve after what "they" will do to you....
Anger is also a very valid emotion to apply to the current situation. I am very angry, angy with myself and my generation for our complacency, angry with the corruption of an election system that requires millions of dollars for a person to run for national office and very, very angry that our so-called leaders are putting all their effort into either making the situation worse out of stupidity or into intentionally bringing our nation to its knees in the name of "globalization".
That said, the rest of you have very valid points. We need to know, understand and spread the truth. Only the light of truth can chase away shadows and expose corruption and evil. We need to be ready to fight for our nation and our freedom with every weapon and tool at our disposal, and we need to maintain the kindness and generosity of spirit that makes America worth fighting for. We must maintain optomism that our nation can be saved and a sunny spirit makes that easier. That does not mean dodging the truth or failing to take action as it is required, it just means to enjoy the blessings of each day. In time of trouble, sometimes we forget to do that. One thing that has been proven, time and time again, is that the American people are best and strongest in times of crisis and what lies ahead will almost certainly be a whopping character builder!
Pat
Your perspective is refreshing and true. We are the light, as well as the protectors of liberty. There are people who deceive others into giving up freedom for security. There are also people like us, who truthfully seek justice and freedom from the deceitful. Let us remain positive, aware and vigilant. As followers of Jesus, we should treat truth responsibly with wisdom and faith that we have the victory.
I am wholeheartedly with you insofar as there are people, including A LOT on this website, that have no hope. They have ascribed to the conspiracy theory they like best (the bankers, the Jews, the Jewish bankers, big oil) etc. as the cause of all of their problems. I'm not saying there are no conspiracies. My objection is that they fail to see that all of them require our cooperation. If we succeed in persuading and "waking up" our fellow citizens, the conspiracies (if they exist) will lose their power.
That being said, I believe the sky might be falling for the U.S. economically, and the media is NOT exploiting this fear enough. No one seems to be looking down the road at the inevitable result our country's policies are going to have. I speak not only of the Iraq war, which is really minor economically (but MAJOR morally), but the decades of socialism, with its resulting debt and inflation. We are heading for a cataclysm that no American alive right now, even those like my parents that survived the Depression, are ready for. There will be people shooting each other for food in this country during the next president's term. I am not saying that for shock value, I firmly believe it. Just think logically what would happen if there were a run on the grocery store, or it was looted by people that couldn't afford to buy anymore. Faced with their children starving, where will those people go to get food? Next door. And they will go armed.
There is hope, but there is also urgency. Our movement needs to start winning elections - the important ones, in Congress. Most people are overly enamored with the presidency - it was Congress that allowed Bush to become a tyrant, they passed the Military Commissions Act of 2006, the Patriot Act, deferred their war powers, etc. We need to start putting people in place that will reverse bad laws.
However, our personal freedoms are not all we need. We need to face the fact, and I'm not sure that even most "freedom fighters" on this site are ready, that social programs must be eliminated. Not in a day, but we must begin the transition towards phasing out Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, welfare, and every other entitlement. They have always been morally wrong - now they are about to reap the same havoc on us as they did to the Roman empire, the USSR, CHina, etc. The sooner we face reality and realize that it is welfare - not warfare - that is bankrupting us, the sooner we will regain our freedom.
Hopefully, no one will take from that that I support this immoral war. It is wrong and a waste of money, but we'll spend 10 times more this year on welfare programs than the war.
If we don't begin this process now, and at least put a bottom on our dollar, we are headed the way of Rome at its end, and it wasn't pretty. The sacking of the city by barbarians was the least of their problems.

I am so with you Julie, it is time for hope. We must be the change. The time is now. Jane Asher
Excellent post by Freedom.
As V stated in V for Vendetta : A revolution without dancing is no revolution worth undertaking"
Make no mistake we are in for some ugly times ahead. We must all keep hope & joy alive through these very difficult times to come.
Ugly indeed the present of Humans. Our wish is for the criminals to surrender, and the elites leave the Earth like they have been trying to do for the last 10 thousand years. They will not stop, nor will compromise with us. It is either their way, or death.
Now, how do you deal with a situation like this? It is much like a lamb that is out in the field when the wolfs come across it. Firstly does a situation like this exist today, or could it?
The evidence says yes, and that this "Great Work" has been implemented throughout vast spaces of time, with one determined goal. Complete World domination. Through out all of history this has been the case.
Now though we have come the the final segment. The Endgame. The capping of the Capstone. The final solution. They will not fail. That is their believe, principle, and motto. So we have to meet them on equal footing, and this requires first knowing what the enemy is doing, and how you are being attacked. Much like a battle ship, airplane, tank, soldier, etc is not the power that IS the US military, the Federal Reserve, left right political paradigm, markets, money, corporations, etc, are not the actual power of the global elite, they are mere objects used to divide and conquer the people through abstractedly pragmatic illusions, that are perpetual change within one another.
The answer is on the outside of this construct, while yet running through the ether of all.
The outcome of this is that there is no enemy, or foe.
However this line of logic; and one that is logical, is nullified by the knowledge of what they intend to do, and are doing.
One way or another Humanity will learn the basics even of what they are faced with, however this might be only when they are actually living through the experience, and this would be most regretful.
I have to agree with both Julie and rea1001, that while we must identify and inform others of the truth of the severe threats we face, we must also retain hope that we can overcome and defeat our enemy, rather than giving in to fear that could paralyze us with despair and inaction. But we are still at the stage where we MUST become well-informed of who our enemy is and the extent of the threat they pose, and we must be able to inform others as well so that we might build opposition.
Ultimately, Truth is the most important weapon we have in winning this Revolution. Unity alone will accomplish nothing if it will be one minority of Constitutionalists against another minority of elite both fighting for the leadership of the masses. But unity with Truth on our side will give us the power to defeat our enemy since people have the gifts of reason and intellect that allows truth to prevail when they are open to it. Just look at what Ron Paul has done to launch this Revolution simply by stating the truth about our dire situation and the enemies within.
G. Edward Griffin speaks about this fear and despair people often surrender to that paralyzes them into inaction, and he offers a solution to the question of what can we do to take America back from the tyrannical elite who have hijacked our country. Check out this presentation by him here, it is well worth watching if you are interested in this Revolution: http://www.breakthematrix.com/Government/An-Idea-Whose-Time-Has-Come
I think you misunderstood my post or read into much that wasn't there. You're making it to complicated. It was a very simple post stating we should fear less, hope more.
I agree. But lets be honest, Im one of the only people posting anything that would remotely resemble "the sky is falling", or something that might get all the birds out of the holes.
There is a proper time for singing and celebration, and there is a proper time for war and deliberation. The later is where we find ourselves whether we like it or not. "like a thief in the night" it will come.
So are we then to march to this victory without giving head to the crimes committed in our name?
Are we going to march to victory without even knowing whom or what we are up against?
Do we think we can just march up the the castle on the hill and say that we are coming in the sit on their thrown?
Concentrating on what we want to happen is a good thing, but action is better. I dont want to take the Collectivist attitude that a few lives lost are a deserving sacrifice for the good of the many. There are 3 million people that have been killed in Iraq, not to mention all the depleted uranium all over the Sacred land that will effect generations to come. I want the lairs to pay.
People can try and shrug off martial law, and avoid dealing with the ramifications of it. Again, historically when empires reach this point, it ends by one side dominating the other, and only one victor.
You are not aware of the depopulation programs. Ok, but I understand what you mean. You want someone to take care of all that for you right? And then you can go back to whatever. Our founding fathers might think differently, and after one reads what they have to say, it might be already to late to bring our country back from decent from freedom.
Its much like going to court and telling the judge that concentrating on the bad aspects of the defendant is not necessary, when in fact all the gritty, gory details is what is going to send the criminal away for a long time, and impress upon the public the extent of the criminals crimes against us all.
I want to know that, and many people do today as well. We want to have our eyes open to the truth, not apologize, turn our heads, and put our beaks back down into the sand.
"giving head to the crimes committed in our name?"
Hey Rick, can he say this? Disgusting!
Just kidding, I know it was a typo. Good humor for us sophomoric idiots, though! :)

"Sure! Any time"
Ok ... enough of the childish humor :)
The fear mongers are so endlessly tiresome. And why? There's no need for it-- but fear has become the grand tool of our adversaries. Boring, actually. R

No Sir. This is scary. In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.
What is even more frightening is when someone trys to engage these issues; and provide articles from the National Archives , and deal with it, or at least get it out to the public, one is labeled as a fear monger, or 'adversary', when these issues deal directly with the very document in which most of you flag wavers here proclaim to represent... Or is this issues just an issue for Ron Paul, and not the Public, then again, by the founders definitions, we have already failed.
