The False Choice in American Politics

I'm sure everyone has read the first chapter in Ron Paul's new book, and I just wanted to use Ron's latest interview on Faux news to reinforce this 'false choice.'

In this interview, Ron is asked whether he will support John McCain in the fall election. As usual, Ron states that he won't. It should be no surprise then that Neil Cavuto responds by claiming that Ron Paul then supports Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama.

This is the very source of false choices in American politics. The media presents the typical false dilemma fallacy that the American voter has no choice but the lesser of two evils. Fox News--We Distort You Comply.

Yeah, I watched Neil Cavuto ply his tricky logic there! Ron is a master at responding to this nonsense in a friendly, positive way - but it must get aggravating!
