While it may be easy for Jose to repudiate a mortgage on one of his two homes, I don't believe that it will be that "emotionally" easy for the average Joe to do so. Personally, I didn't find living in my car to be all that pleasant and I really sympathize for honest families that have been duped into unconscionable home mortgages that inevitably lead to foreclosure and financial ruin.
I never had much admiration for the American banking industry. Haiving learned how how this industry has manipulated our very currency through the Federal Reserve system has shattered much of my hopes in living the "American Dream." The fact is that the average Joe can expect to spend his lifetime paying interest and fees to banks--not becoming self-sufficient. Jefferson was right when he said that banks are a greater threat to liberty than standing armies.
This is America today. R
