I can tell you for a fact that the media is constantly downplaying Ron Paul's results, if they mention him at all. For instance, in WA State, Ron Paul cleaned up at most the County Coventions. In Stevens County he had 11 out of 13 state delegates, in Spokane Co, he has 107 out of 114, and many of the other county results were the same types of numbers9but I don't have the full list in front of me) for Ron Paul.
What our own Spokane newspaper printed about the convention, since they didn't want anybody to know about his overwhelming success, was that the Republican County convention had about 750 people show up. It discussed the party platform and what was added to the platform, but didn't even mention anything about the State delegates who were elected, let alone that Ron Paul cleaned up. That is what we're witnessing throughout the whole country. So the 3% figure is absolutely inaccurate. Luckily for all the Ron Paul delegates who are on the ball all around the country and keeping posted daily, there is the internet. If it wasn't for the extremely well organized and knowledgable base of all the Ron Paul promoters, he wouldn't have had a chance. However, the Ron Paul delegates are all keeping very well informed and active, and when it comes down to it, the people's vote means nothing in a Presidential election, whereas the delegate's vote means everything, and so far, the Ron Paul delegates are beating McCain on a large basis. But you will never hear those updates from the controlled media, as we saw in my area.
Unfortunately, I never even knew the people's vote does not elect the President. Most people don't know that very important fact! I mean I would hear about the electoral college and all, but it was like a harmonic dischord that you can't figure out since you're told your vote counts?? I have voted for the President, etc, every election, believing my vote counted. It doesn't!! It never has! The people's vote is nothing more than a straw poll. Same thing with US senators and congressmen; that is a closed vote as well, reserved for state officials, like legislators, state senators, etc. So "We the People" don't vote for anybody in Congress, The House, or the President, and usually the people's vote is different than the delegate's vote.
Well this time, Ron Paul people are aware of that fact. Hurray! I myself am a state delegate for Ron Paul and I plan(hope) to be elected to the National Convention as well. I am just appalled at things like Oprah telling all of America that they need to get out there and vote, and that their vote matters, and they can change the world if they go out there and vote.....Its insane! Its a total out and out lie! The only darn way people can vote to make any changes is locally for positions like County Commissioner, State Senator, Legislator, etc. However, that influence people have over them is nill. Especially now that the UN is running the show and all our mayors on up are being told what to do by the UN, while ignoring all of us and our input.
So I hope in your quest to elect the right guy for the job, that you all are already at least state delegates, otherwise your position won't count for much, if anything at this point. Crazy isn't it?? I still can hardly believe it myself.
I like what he says but here is the problem. Since Ron Paul is not likely to get the Republican nomination his followers need to make a decision. Our choices at this moment seem to be:
Write-in Ron Paul
Vote for the LP candidate
Vote for Chuck Baldwin.
Jesse Ventura may figure into the picture too. So I wouldn't count him out.
As I estimate it, Ron Paul received about 3% of the total vote cast during the primaries so far. That's minuscule to start with. But if we further divide it up by splitting our vote among those choices then we end up with less than 1% each which is totally useless.
My thinking is that we should hold a poll on this website between the above choices when we get closer to the election. Then we all agree to vote for the candidate who wins the poll.
After all, any of these would be a huge improvement over Hillary, Obama or McCain.
Heck even a write-in for Mickey Mouse would be better.
I agree that we here at Break the Matrix need to come to a consensus on who can best lead our country. I am a Chuck Baldwin supporter and will continue to try to promote him on this site. I know he and Ron Paul are friends. I am willing to look at other candidates though that adhere to the same principals as Ron Paul. If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, it will be interesting to see who he endorses as a Presidential candidate. I think if he does endorse another candidate, most of us here at BTM will support that candidate. My goal is that we here at BTM all work together to elect the candidate who is best for our country.
I have been reading Chuck Baldwins Articles for the past couple of years and, personally, I would've liked to have seen him as Ron Paul's running mate. As it is, If Ron Paul is not nominated, I will throw all my support behind Chuck Baldwin.
God bless,
Nick
