Digg!

Fellow lovers of liberty, I’d like to share a few thoughts with you about BTM television being launched as a profit making enterprise.

First, because of the internet, we who care passionately about liberty have more power than anytime since the original American revolution. So far, close to a million people have voted for Ron Paul in this primary season. Look at the awesome power of us working together! The money bombs! The book bomb!

If you think of the people who voted for Ron Paul as a potential viewing audience for a BTM television production, we would have triple the audience of Glenn Beck, double the audience of Anderson Cooper, we’d beat Larry King, and be within reach of Hannity and Colmes! It’s possible that when all the votes are counted from the rest of the primaries we could have a potential audience approaching O’Reilly! And that’s if no one but Ron Paul voters tuned in.

Second, you can only launch an entire broadcast network from a standing start if you have billions, like Ted Turner, or Rupert Murdoch. In the beginning BTM will need to concentrate on one program at a time. Libertarian ideas do get on television and are successful- John Stossel and South Park are examples. Good content can be licensed to networks: BTM can have a revenue stream in relatively short order.

Lastly, there are film and television professionals who share our love of liberty. They are relatively few in number, and most will be unable to unhitch from the Hollywood gravy train until they are convinced coming out of the closet won’t be career suicide. But they are there, and the bigger Break The Matrix becomes, the more of them will trickle our way.

This is VERY exciting news,

This is VERY exciting news, and very possible to accomplish, in my opinion

Has BTM already had it's

Has BTM already had it's initial public offering? If so how did it go? How much $ was raised. If not how long before it takes place? Thanks.

Indeed. This is a good plan. It would seem that synthesizing into the establishment would be more beneficial in the long run than simply creating an alternative media.

btm tv

In the next few days BTM TV will announce the concept for the first television series. I think you'll find the show will capitalize on the many strengths of the Ron Paul movement, it's theme will be philosophically consistent with the ideals of the movement, and it will appeal to a large audience far beyond people who are supporters of Ron Paul.

These are very exciting times!

True, but we should never

True, but we should never fall back into the mindset of letting things 'trickle' our way. Or rely upon other anyones picking us up. The rement of this entire Movement started long ago, by people laboring to get the information out via books, radio, and flim. Now we all of that technology wrapped up in the net and more. The more channels of control that are dealt with, the more filters the information will pass through. The movement has always been grass roots, it has always been accomplished its work by spreading seed by highly devoted, studious, and patient people.

While there are many solutions to this, we must always remember that we are running against the clock, and time is of the essence.

Short term only please

Getting a quick stream of income from "farming out" to established media corporations is only acceptable for the short haul. We must ultimately be a stand alone institution.

As rea 1001 so accurately states above, what we DO NOT WANT is multiple layers of corporate media censorship. "Sure we'll pick up your show, but you can't say this, or this or that".
