When this was mentioned a few months ago. I "signed up" then via an e-mail submission to "somewhere".
The pretense of setting up a place we as humans could come to express ourselves and read expressions of opinions from other humans in what is happening in the world around us was, heck, exciting and interesting to me.
I am very pleased that the launching of the beta is going well with the site functioning correctly, for the most part. I have not had too much trouble figuring out how to:
1. Fix my Profile.
2. Add a pic
3. Write to the forums
4. Respond to the forums
5. Ask folks to be "friends" that post a bit about themselves.
etc.
I have, as I shared in my post tonight, alerted the local paper's opinion site that this site is up and running. If anyone joins then great, if they don't, their loss imho.
I look forward to the future of this site and hope it keeps growing to fit the bill.
Sincerely,
DanielC in SC

Dan great idea to get the word out locally.
:)
This is great stuff, I want to recreate it for folks in my country, people are badly overcome with apathy and are starving for someone or something that will give them direction.
Keep up the good work!
Yadranko- I hope you will invite them all to come here. This movement needs to be world wide and we can see this already starting to happen.
Yes, Daniel; me too. I've been on other affinity group sites but this one has the best functionality I've seen so far.
And the most exciting mission!
I have to agree. I am very pleased with the site.
Thanks for the kind words Daniel and thanks for your help as well.
