Here is a feature I would love to see.
Create a section named "Resources"
In this section, anyone can submit a "resource", whatever that may be. Have tags or categories for books, news sites, subscriptions, websites, etc.; include subcategories as well.
Users can then vote up or down each resource as they explore them. Maybe even let people leave comments and create categories.
I see this particularly helpful for books. Let's say I want to read a book about economics--I simply click on "books", "economics" and then I can browse by "most popular", "newest", etc.
This would be a great tool for people new to the revolution to quickly find trustworthy and informative resources. It would also be great for experienced people to share their knowledge and find new ways to educate themselves.

This is a great idea. It might also be useful to have a user library. This would allow members to borrow a book (maybe with a deposit) from other members. This would save us all money that we could then use to further the cause.
This is a pretty good idea, and you could set it up like this: Call it the Learning Library, or "New to the Revolution?"
Divide the it into sections based on categoryType. You just need 3 database tables - libraryItems, libraryCategories and libraryItemsCategoryAssociation. Maybe 4 for votes depending on how you do it.
I wouldn't let people automatically add new categories though - i mean it should somewhat limited to books, online videos, dvds, newspaper articles... what else is there?
