Hi guys,

I have to say I love the idea of putting this together in a Social Networking medium. Looks like things still need a lot of cleanup, which is expected - but I was also wondering what kind of platform did you build this site upon? I myself am a web developer, working on a custom built social networking project (in a completely different niche). I've seen a few pre-built engines out there such as SocialEngine.net and OneSite, but they all seem to end up with the same problem as something like a yahoo store, they're all boring and under-developed.

I'm excited to see what you guys do with this and I'd even like to help one day after I get my own business off the ground.

On the other hand, I have to wonder this, is it ever possible to launch a social site these days without ads? On our network, we will be launching completely free of irrelevant ads and combining with an e-commerce store to drive revenue. I know everything needs a revenue model, but perhaps you should get further along in the development process before going ad-wild.

In my opinion, it cheapens the experience in a beta-environment. Digg would be a good example where the software has matured and the ads have matured with it.

In any case, I'll be here for the cause of Liberty and personal freedom no matter what the ads look like, so long as that's the goal! :)

Keep up the good work!
