Criteria for Top Content?

What is the criteria for top content?

I recently posted an article here which has since received 26 votes, but it has not shown up in the list of top content on the home page, even though the current "top content" has only received 19 votes.

I'm not particularly concerned about having my own content featured, but I would like to understand how the "top content" ranking system works, and I do think other folks would enjoy seeing this article:

Any feedback you can provide will be appreciated.

Hi Metta! At the moment,

Hi Metta! At the moment, once a piece of content receives 5 votes, it is promoted to the "Popular" section and added to the 'Top Content' list. Content only stays in the Top Content list for 24 hours once it is promoted. Also, there is only space for 10 Top Content items. So, if we had a fairly active voting day, your article could have been bumped off the list prior to the 24 hour period to make room for newer items.

Even if it falls off the Top Content list, you can see all of promoted content in the "Popular" section.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your

Thanks for your clarification, Shelly, about the "Top Content" section.

FWIW, I had assumed that my article would show up in the "Popular" section since it has 26 votes (even if it was not on the "Top" content list, but I can't find it in there anywhere:
` Popular Content: http://www.breakthematrix.com/published/top24h
` My Content: http://www.breakthematrix.com/Candidates/What-this-Ron-Paul-Tops-McCain

(1) Am I missing something? Or, is this section limited to items posted within the last 24 hours? (See the Popular content URL -- it says "top24h")

(2) If both the "Top" and "Popular" content sections are based on postings during the past 24 hours, is there any place on the site where the most highly ranked content can be found?

(3) Finally, what constitutes "Premium" content?
