I know it is more glamorous to have a third party member as President, however, it is unlikely to happen this year.
Lets concentrate on local races. County Legislature, Mayor, Assemblyman, Sheriff, School Board etc.. These elections we can win now. When we take back our local communities it insulates us from the Federal Government. Who is going to enforce Federal laws when all the local elected officials on are on your side?
We must be a true grassroots effort. We can win very quickly by throwing all the local bums out!

It does not take a majority to prevail,
but rather an irate, tireless minority keen
to set brush fires in the peoples minds.

I beleive as time is running out, you should put a prompt/stop sign on the splash page,
as do most campaign websites during election season, and put 3 HUGE banners
(and they are forced to click one of them to see any other page)

I don't understand some of the replies here.
Our goal is to stand United against the Repubicrats.
As four or more individual independent parties we don't stand a chance of winning, hence the corruption will continue. We will be further in debt, and poorer in freedom.
A combined ticket will give us the leverage we need to throw the bums out.
How do we come about doing that? If all the candidates stand for the same principles they should get together and amongst themselves decide who has the better chance. Yes there will HAVE TO BE COMPROMISES. Of that there is no doubt.
All these candidates should agree on one candidate to run. If they can't chose or one candidate refuses to compromise (they are part of the problem).
What all the candidates have to come to terms with is the fact that "anyone that thinks he or she individually is the best choice" is not representing the people of the country.
They are representing themselves and their own interests. Haven't we had enough of that ?
First the candidates have to agree to this. The money bomb idea is good except some folks are richer than others.
One vote one person has its drawbacks in respect to the fact that Baldwin's party has a membership equal to or above the combined member ship of the others.
What is the answer? I'm not sure.
Perhaps an independent panel of say 5 people, Interview them like a jury, make sure there is no prejudice. Use perhaps a group of high school students, not eligible to vote but open minded.
Have ten questions, asked of each candidate, interview style. One candidate at a time.
After the questions, a small debate. This will allow the students to determine which candidate is changing their answers to best fit the public forum. One on one, people are more honest.
Group them together and one will try to out do the other. This is the give the people what they want to hear philosophy, and haven't we had enough of that ?
First the candidates have to agree to the terms. If we can get that, we're three quarters of the way to the White House.
Put the winner in a debate with McBamama and watch the two party meltdown.
Forgive the long letter, I tend to over explain things.
And once in a while my train of thought derails.

I dunno about this.
Does defeating the Republocrats warrant disregarding ideals and dismantling party structures? I could see if we were just incorporating the LP and the Constitution Party, the ideals are right along the same line for the most part, but other 3rd parties have drastically different visions for America.
As far as I'm concerned compromising a little here and there for the past 200 years has painted us into this corner. I can't see how more compromise will get us out. I will support RP is he were the candidate offered up for this 3rd Party Party, but what if its Nader? I can't support Nader. I mean, his voice represents a good number of people in America, and he deserves to be heard for sure, but he doesn't represent my values. Maybe in the most generic and shallow manner, he may, but I'm not sure that is enough to get me to vote against the greater body of my ideology. I'm sure there are Green Party members who feel the same. the politics are fundamentally different.
I have been feeling the squeeze from the nightly news though. Desperate times do call for desperate measures. I mean, can we wait 4 to 8 years? I don't think we can. Every day we are closer to the brink, any signs of slowing are usually manufactured in the media. At this rate I dunno wtf we will be next month, never mind 2012.
Government has solved the age old dilemma of the alchemists. In order to turn lead into gold, just add blood.
Is there a way we can get all the third party candidates to push all their vote to Ron Paul? This might be the only way we can show the country the power of the independent voters (including Republicans and Democrats who have an open mind).
I will not vote for the Republicrat presidential candidates, that is an absolute given.
I have been concerned about casting a vote for Bob Barr due to the fact that he has drastically changed his position on the current issues we face today. Yet another issue with Bob Barr is why he did not show up at the National Press Conference but was able to be present at his own Press Conference? This tells me he is more concerned with his winning then standing up for the principles of freedom and the consitution. He was the candidate most likely to benefit by the third party unity since many of the Ron Paul Supporters are Libertarians, the Libertarian Party is the most popular third party and Bob Barr had a chance to give a speech to announce to the people what he truly stands for.
The other third party candidates stood their ground on many important issues outlined in the Third Party Unity Platform. Their speeches were, I believe, of the heart and soul. I am yet still wondering if we have a chance to win or at least to make a stand in the eyes of politicians which is very unlikely and most important to open the eyes of the majority of the American people. The fixed electronic voting machines will prevail and the MSM will not reflect our stand to the American people, no matter how many votes are cast for the third party candidates.
On the other hand we do not have alot of choices nor do we have the time and so I will give my vote to Chuck Baldwin, Ralph Nader or Cynthia McKinney. I cannot vote for Bob Barr, he has not given me reason to and my vote in November will count more than ever before not only for the country but for my children and my grandchildren. God I pray.
I would absolutely with all my heart, body and soul, in the heart beat of a second, without the minute glimpse of a second thought vote for Congressman Ron Paul MD.

Shelly; Is your thought the same as mine? Turn the tables on Ron Paul and use that 60% voters to put him in as President? This might be the last chance to put it into effect. If Obama was born in Kenya Africa, as found hospital records seem to show, and McSame was born in Panama, and that constitutional requirement of "Natural Born citizen" has never been properly changed by a Ratified Amendment. They both are out of luck. So Ron Paul is the only candidate really qualified to correct our ecomic mess.
