I noticed when i clicked on the link to watch it took me to the live yahoo room, which had a nice chat room feature. however I can only get into the chat room when BTM TV is broadcasting. It'd be nice to have that chatroom, or one with a similar style constantly open. You might want to create multiple ones with room limits though.

I hope we will be using open source platforms (i.e. JW FLV Player, etc.) as we expand. I'm glad we are using open source software (Drupal) to build this community. It should be a point of pride. The open source community has been a pioneering branch of the freedom movement that has been overlooked, for the most part, for many years.
We're working right now getting our BTM Television channel set up to operate here on a 24/7 basis-- complete with chat room. Great new streaming video technology platform; coming soon. R
If you are not signed-in to a Yahoo account, you will show up as "Guest" in the "who's chatting" portion of the chat room, but as best as I've been able to determine, the chat room is always available (24/7) here: http://live.yahoo.com/BreakTheMatrix
If you have a Yahoo account and a webcam, you can create a Yahoo Live! account and participate in live video/audio chat as well and even produce your own show on your own channel if you want.
EDIT (7:43 am):
Seems I spoke too soon. If you are not signed-in to an account when the channel is not broadcasting, an error message pops up and the chat is unavailable. There are a couple of remedies for this situation:
1) Get an account by joining the Yahoo Live! community.
2) Download "Skype" and join the Skype chat by clicking on the link from here: http://www.breakthematrix.com/node/9962 or download and join directly by clicking HERE.
3) Hang on and I'll build something HERE to use temporarily until the BTM web development tech staff can find the time to catch up on the multitudes of requests by various members. I'll add video/audio capabilities along with the ability to handle an unlimited number of chat users if the demand is there.
Good idea, I think that ideas are vetted out faster when people can chat continuosly with out the page reloading, creating conversation lag, involved with forums. Forums are the way to go when having thorough discussions and debate.I also think chat rooms will encourage more personal interaction. It would be a good feature to draw in more members.
