#1 on YouTube today! The End of Small Farms, Part II - HR 759 is in committee, worse than HR 875
“Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people” - Henry Kissinger
Our food freedom is under attack! HR 759 has eclipsed HR 875 as a danger to America's small farmers. Currently in committee (and more likely to pass), NOW is the time to act to stop this threat to our freedom to buy, grow and eat real foods. A vote is expected by Memorial day.

In case you missed it, here's what you should know about HR 875 - the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009:
With every meal, each of us has an opportunity to make choices that will shift power away from the dysfunctional mainstream food system to spark a nationwide cultural shift to local, seasonal eating and growing more of our own foods.
Here are just a few ways you can help:
- Grow something!
- Bring a friend to the farmer's market.
- Have a dinner party featuring food from your local farmers.
- Shake the hand that feeds you - get to know your local farmer (just make sure it's at a time that's convenient for them).
- Start a community garden.
- Participate in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
- Be a cowpooler.
- Have conversations about food everywhere you go.
- Wear the message! T-shirts that tell a story about food are a great way to start a conversation.
- Be vigilant about what's happening in Washington. Do your own research and urge your representatives to act in ways that support real foods.

And it appears to me that there is an awful lot of paid bloggers out here in internet land that are also involved in formenting these scare stories and agendas in order to facilitate this global government.
A heck of a lot.
Betsy Ross
I think part of the puzzle is missing here also. Due to those "punishments" that are to be levied against the small farmers as opposed to the large agri-businesses - it also provides a means for the federal government to "take" land in the heartland of small farmers for the North American Union agenda. In fact, Ted Turner recently purchased a large spread in western Nebraska and it just so happens that according to some of the maps, that highway is planned to go through parts of Nebraska, Kansas and Okahoma in which there is a great deal of small owned farms.
I think the true agenda may be much more sinister than you think, and while the large agri-businesses may want this land to expand their holdings, the government also would then have the tools to use against any smart farmer or his lawyer who might fight any eminent domain action on the grounds that his land isn't being "taken"for a U.S. "public purpose" but a North American Union one(since this highway is going to be owned by Mexico, from all reports, not the U.S. at all).
If that is not the case, than these "punishments" are cruel and unusual, and do not in any way fit the crime - which, obviously has been set at half a million in order to strip most of those small farmers of their land, since few are worth a half million in acreage, nor would the banks loan such excessive sums to any farmer so fined against future crops.
This isn't simply about food safety in the slightest, and would bet that entire tomatoe and this swine flu hooey is most likely just that - hooey.

Homeless struggle in Atlantic City ++ click here ++
BBC correspondent Matthew Price continues his journey across the US to assess whether there are any signs of economic recovery. Today he reports from Atlantic City, New Jersey, where life appears to be getting harder by the week.
Atlantic City is suffering, and not just because of the weather.
Cristina Sanford knows that only too well. She is 21 years old, and already has three children.
Last September she lost her job as a cleaner. She spent several hundred dollars on training to become a casino card-dealer, but when her training had finished, the recession was in full swing, and the casinos were cutting back.
She gets $424 (£292) a month in cash from social security and $584 a month in food stamps. Her rent was $900 a month. So she is now homeless, and relies on the Atlantic City Rescue Mission for a place to stay.
Homelessness is rising across the United States. According to the US Conference of Mayors 25 of the largest cities here reported an average 12% increase in homelessness in 2008 compared with 2007.
16 cities there were more homeless families. A lack of affordable housing, poverty and unemployment all contributed to the problem.
On top of that, those who try to help the homeless are suffering.
Their stock market investments have also lost value. "We're not at crisis at this point, but it could all vanish in an instant," says Mr Southrey.
Some fear New Jersey's storm will not clear soon.
The state was once a manufacturing powerhouse. It lost out to other less unionised areas of the country and the world, but re-invented itself in the 1980s and became a national player in the business services and leisure sector.
Dr James Hughes, an economist at New Jersey's Rutgers University, is not sure how it can re-invent itself again.
"The question is what are the new economic locomotives? It's the big question of our era," he says.
As far as Dr Hughes is concerned there are no signs that an economic transformation is under way.
"I don't see any transformative investment being made. I don't see any investment to create transformative industries. Nor anything to encourage private sector investment."
New Jersey's problem, and that of Atlantic City, is how to tap into the new wave of growth industries that will spring up out of this recession.
There will be winners and losers in the grand geographical and social upheaval the US is currently going through.
The hope for Atlantic City is that it will be on the winning side. If it is not, many here fear the long-term consequences for people like Cristina Sanford and her three children.

This is what is going on in many areas now, especially after the stimulus. What is happening is that even though some of these bills and measures are being beaten, or haven't even officially been given the (unlawful) force of law - these local and state police departments are being trained and funded enforcing some of these measures already. Such as Napolitano's recent actions. The "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act" has not been passed by the Senate (although passed almost unanimously in the House) but the Fusion Center and its activities were funded under the stimulus for those memos and for the training for these local and state police departments. And they will comply with those edicts without questioning whether the laws are even legal - since their budgets depend on those sums they are being given in order to enforce some of this crap. Even though they, too, take an oath to the Constitution - their jobs and families also depend on their jobs.
So even though this law has not yet even passed, or may not pass at all, that doesn't mean they won't simply ignore the citizens and fund these activities anyway. Its the same thing with illegal immigration, and the terrorist memos. Although the people have clearly spoken on the war, it is still continuing anyway. They've spoken on the illegal immigration and border situation - instead the states are increasing work visa requess at the local level.
And the biggest rub of all is that you will be paying for these people's legal fees as a "civil rights" matter. Because I believe this is truly what the aim actually is. The lawyers in this country are advising those Congressmen and women regarding the Constitutionality of the laws which are being written. And guess who profits, actually, when laws such as these are passed that are clearly unconstitutional? They lobbied to get a law that provides for their legal fees, so they don't make money unless the can create these types of situations. And my question is with laws such as these and the National Health Care Database, and the Patriot Act - just where was the ACLU BEFORE those laws were passed? Nowhere. Because the ACLU and groups like this "Constitutional Law Institute" (which are also funded with taxpayer funds, by the way) will be the ones who will profit on some of these laws.
It's all a game. Between "corporate" lawyers, and legislators. And the more lawsuits like these that the federal government has to pay out, the more in debt we also go for the profit of the bankers.
I wonder if these people know that there is a Federal Tort Claims Act, and also most states have their own tort claims acts, and that by law they most likely are required to file a claim with the federal or state governments for their losses before they can pursue a civil action through the courts? I wonder if their attorney has researched this, or is simply counting on his judicial accomplice to win the case and then file for the legal fees with the federal government instead - a much bigger payoff, since punitive damages then can also be included rather than simply reimbursement for their losses.
You will all be paying for this lawsuit people, and the costs, through your taxes if this lawyer can tie this in to the feds - who have, though, covered their butts through advising state and local authorities they must enforce these laws, even though the laws are legal, nor have even the illegal ones pending been officially put to votes.
What a racket.

The bill HR 875 while has not passed yet is being enforced by someone in the government. Listen to this American Family's story.

The eye of G_d is watching us....
It's so sad when your own country isn't able to help but actually mocks all the hard work. I hope these people will find the power to get back on track and live happy lives.

Rather than as it appears this was presented as one side of the story, I did check out the Buckeye Institute's site also on this. Although it is unbelieveable to me that police would raid this couple's home since the charge was a third degree misdemeanor - what they did leave out was they were not simply buying goods for friends and neighbors, it appears, but actually had a name for their business and were conducting a business out of their home rather than as simply a friendly co-op and exchange. Which is why they also probably took their computers and phones, if they had deducted them for business purposes as part of their business. There appears a lot left out here.
Although, since I still dispute the validity of the income tax laws even that is debatable - but if they were conducting this as a working business but as a sole proprietorship and not "corporate" and commercial venture than this was ridiculous. Apparently, though, a judge did issue a warrant also, which was left out. How they came up with probable cause? Someone must have at least given them information or evidence in order to support the warrant.
So much appears left out in this little video.

from MON, ADM, or Tyson will curry favor with our Reps. if it means that they will loose their seat.
Solution: PLANT A GARDEN get your neighbors to do the same, buy them seeds if you have to. Get as many people as is possible doing that which this act of corporatism aims to destroy.
Civil disobedience with a hoe.
. . . PLUS . . . tasty fresh veggies and better, friendlier communication with the neighborhood.
win win
I have gone to the congress.org site and written to all of my federal and state representatives. But this is not enough! We must organize ourselves, and accept the possibility (or fact) that the people in charge, leading this country, making - and influencing - decisions, may not have our best interest in mind. We must be prepared to protect ourselves, and lead ourselves. Join the forum and let's discuss, meet, organize, and build.
Darryl E Berry Jr
As this video apparently demonstrates, although it does really seem strange but nothing surprises me anymore, the government is already acting on them - as they are with that Violent Radicalization Act, even though they aren't even officially "laws" yet - and would be unconstitutional laws anyway. Obviously, there was no warrant here either ever provided. I think these actions are being planned for law suit purposes at this point, myself, with the corporate and civil rights attorneys who gained that statute for their legal fees the driving force behind some of what is now going on. They only make money when people's civil rights are violated. So since lawyers and the local law enforcement personnel have symbiotic relationships I think a great deal of what is going on is again for their own "economic" stimuluses.
I hope these people are suing those law enforcement officials personally - since their oath of office is to the Constitution, and there is a federal statute that provides for jail time and fines for any public official that denies or abridges any citizens civil rights. If they are suing the state and federal government as it appears they are since a "Constitutional Law Institute" has taking the case - the costs for that suit will come out of all the taxpayers pockets, due to that great "legal fee award" statute the ACLU was successful in passing. Which is, after all, funded, of course, by the Rockefellars - the ones that are behind the Council on Foreign Relations agendas also.
Unbelieveable.
Betsy Ross
