Policy (^top)

I've noticed you are running ads for political candidates like John McCain. Why?

Ads are from a feed by google, and not selected by us. We haven't adopted an ad strategy for the site yet, but we will as the testing process moves forward. So for the time being, please find amusement and enjoy the John McCain and Hillary for president ads--we do.

Site Functionality (^top)

What is the criteria for top content?

The top content section lists the articles that have reached popular status (5 votes or more) and have the most votes within the past 24 hours. Articles are removed from top content after 24 hours but remain in the popular section indefinitely.

Is there an option to edit your content?

Once content is submitted it can immediately begin acquiring votes, move up to popular, then move to Top Content. The ability to edit a submission could result in users "gaming" the system. A user could submit content they know will be popular or favorable with the community, then after gaining "Top Content" status change the content to something unrelated. For this reason at this time we are not offering an edit option for submitted content.

How do I remove a friend?

Go to the users profile page and click the 'Remove from Friends' link in the 'contatcing user' section (under the users profile picture).

This is a known issue and is being resolved. In the meantime please follow one of these two procedures to bypass the error message

1. When you get the error, look on the right-hand side of the screen. If you see a login box, log back into the site and you should be fine.

OR

2. Right-click the "here" link and select "Open in a new window."
