I saw reports Ron Paul was dropping out and having a speech to that effect. Then I saw the speech live and he said he would fight harder and was having a convention in Minneapolis.

Then Yahoo reports something whether John McCain will pick up any of the Ron Paul votes. Said Bob Barr might stand to pick up a few as well as Chuck Baldwin. But I never heard Ron Paul say he was out of the race. Is this an attempt to drown out votes?

Did I miss something? I'm not going by what the media says. But from what I saw, the media is lying.

Did Ron Paul resign and is that verified? I know there's a lot of people that are willing to write him in. I'm saying this as last I saw in his speech live was that it was still on. I could be wrong. IN short, I'm not seeing what "they" are reporting. Please verify.

A slim chance

That delegates could somehow be unbound is controversial, but a worthwhile fantasy indeed. As we are seeing in Nevada, it takes following the rules set in place.

Write him in!

Ron Paul has been interviewed on several shows since the announcement, and has confirmed that he has suspended his campaign and moved on to the Campaign for Liberty. He is having an (anti)Convention/Rally in St. Paul on Sept. 2nd for all his supporters and to launch the new movement. He hasn't endorsed any other candidates yet, but I plan on writing him in on my ballot. I think only 7 states do not allow write-ins, but mine is not one. The best way to do this is to request an absentee ballot.

Ron Paul has stated that he doesn't think writing him in will be effective, but I will NOT vote for Obama, McCain or Barr (he hasn't proven himself a true libertarian to me), and I take responsibility for my vote as a positive force - I will not use my vote to vote AGAINST a candidate. If Ron Paul endorses Baldwin, I will consider voting for him - otherwise, I worked too hard on the campaign to vote for anyone else!!

I don't think it's so much

I don't think it's so much that he's dropped out but rather a shift. He's not going to be allowd to speak at the convention so he's having his own and he's started an organization called Campaignforliberty.org. Check it out....LMW
