So there is a huge rumor circulating around the net right now about just who this surprise musical group will be. On Mondays Alex Jones show, the guest was supposed to be announced but then it was postponed. Interesting enough, there hasn't been much speculation on this main stream mystery artist. Today a report that ran at www.ronpaulforpresident2008.com gave us one potential hopeful but I personally am not holding my breathe. Rage Against the Machine is apparently going to be in town on September 3rd to obviously retaliate against the RNC like they did the DNC in 2000, and the venue they plan to fill.... the Target Center (tickets are $60 a piece). So this leaves many speculating whether or not they'll drop by one day early for the Rally. I think the young audience will come out in droves at the prospect but I'm not sure that the older audience would be hip to heavy protest rock with a lot of disenfranchised youth. Rage just rocks that hard. On top of everything else, its hard not to listen to Rage and not get angry at the crumbling society around us. I won't lie when saying that they were indeed the first group that popped into my head when Jesse Benton announced a huge artist would be in attendance. They would definitely bring attention to the cause and bolster a wider audience to be in attendance.

We can always dream, I might just have to stay in town an extra day :)

Here is a video of their historic concert at the DNC with riot police in full force included. I would have attended if there weren't huge traffic jams on the way to the event.
