I normally don't promote the idea of supporting third party candidates because I believe it's counter productive. As Ron Paul says in the below video, the system is against third party candidates, but I have a weird idea.

As posted on the below links, Break The Matrix has come together with the ACLU to work to stop FISA. I believe Barack Obama has proven himself to be a dismal failure and leaves no hope for real change unless you consider eroding the Constitution change

Obama on FISA and the Reauth of The Patriot Act

What if we came up with a flyer telling people why they shouldn't vote for Obama or McCain, and asked people to check out one of the Third Party Candidates. The flyer should have a link to a page with the other three candidates. People could post information on those pages as to why those candidates should be supported.

We could then all work together to get a flyer on everyone's home in the country. I just helped defeat an incumbent congressman in my own state and that's how we did it. Everyone adopted a precinct (I adapter my own), and put flyers for the challenging candidate on every door in the precinct.

It would be hard to pull this off, but maybe if we got conservatives and liberals together who don't support the Patriot Act to we could pull this off.

We could see if Project Vote Smart wants to partner in this effort.

Let's get this straight Dr.

Let's get this straight

Dr. Paul says he's not running as a 3rd party because the system works against 3rd parties.

But since he's essentially done about his campaign, voting your choice is still the least you can do within the system.

FOR THE RECORD with Ron Paul being the only exception (or anybody with strong principles I agree with 80%+). I will ALWAYS vote 3rd party even if the candidate is a murderer, child molester, rapist, gay with AIDS, racist or communist. At least 3rd party candidates are honest about themselves, which is most important to me, nothing else would make them any worse than the two party crooks.

A multiple party system

A multiple party system insures that those in control are rarely, if ever, supported by a majority of the people. For that reason, I strongly support the two party system. That said, there is precedent for changing which parties are those majority parties. Either we stick with Ron Paul's effort to take back the GOP or go with a third party that is already thinking right and help the GOP along on its mission to self-destruct. Either way works for me.

Sad but true. Politics is

Sad but true.

Politics is really confusing when it comes to what's good for the long term or whether we can afford to wait.

In a perfect world, I would......... nevermind, there is no perfect world.

The two-party duopoly on political power

Do people understand why there is two-party control of the government?

We have to understand the cause of the problem before we can hope to fix it.

It was supposed to be our House.

Controlled Mass Media

I believe a great deal of it is because global corporations own the media, and they don't report on third party candidates. If they don't get reported on, they don't get voted for.

Orwell Rolls in His Grave does a good job of documenting this, but bashes Republicans. It's unfortunate that this documentary is unbalanced because it would be really good to get Republicans to watch.

The whole off balance part makes that rather difficult.
