The Rubber Is About to Meet the Road in Nevada!!!

I've decided that this is the day that I start engaging my opponent issue by issue when I find things where I can show the fundamental difference between President Bush's Yes Man and a true Constitutional Conservative candidate. My Communications Director, Jen Terhune, has distributed a press release to every media outlet in Nevada taking my opponent, Rep. Dean Heller, to task for his AYE vote on HR 6304, the Amendment to the FISA Act. I'm am challenging him on a very basic Constitutional principle, and that is the erosion of the Fourth Amendment that is being put forward by this bill. A copy of this press release should be up on my website within the next few hours, and hopefully it will be picked up by news media in the state.

Now, we need your help!! I'm hoping that this action pushes Rep. Heller to engage this campaign directly. We win the first battle when he recognizes there is a Republican in the race, one who has backing and is in this to the primary vote on August 12th. I'll be speaking at the resumption of the State Republican Convention in Reno on June 28th, and I plan to bring down the house!!!

Anything that you can be doing to help this campaign at this crucial point would be helpful. Spread the word through your myspace page. Send an email to your friends letting others know about our struggle here in Nevada. Send an online donation, any amount will help. Send a letter to the editor to the Reno Gazette-Journal, the Elko Daily Free Press, the Pahrump Valley Times, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal questioning Rep. Heller and letting Nevadans know that they have a clear choice in the GOP Primary on August 12th.
