Submitting Content: NOT ALLOWED IF reference site is a forwarded site
Posted by Roobah on Sat, 06/28/2008 - 09:28 in I would like to have my latest content submission link to a more meaningful address : http://www.utgop.net
instead of http://stalkingbramble.blogspot.com
However since the http://www.utgop.net website redirects the viewer to the stalkingbramble website, it will not allow me to use the http://www.utgop.net website to submit content here at BTM.
(You can verify this web address http://www.utgop.net does indeed work correctly OUTSIDE the btm environment.)
The idea is to keep MEANINGFUL web direction. I've never encountered an error like this in any other environment before trying it here.
If someone could explain WHY sites that are redirected can't be used to point to articles, I'd like to hear the explanation.
Thanks.

Hi Roobah -
We don't have anything in place on the site that would prevent you from linking to a site that redirects.
Shelly
I am not being redirected from the links in your post. They all lead me to exactly the address as written.
