Wow! Wasn't the Rally for the Republic an AWESOME affair!
Wonderful music, guests, interviews, all capped off with one of the most powerful speeches in recent memory by Ron Paul. It's been rare that I've heard such enthusiasm and witnessed such energy.
Here's a cut of Dr. Paul addressing the issues of Hemp, Marijuana, Pharmaceutical Drugs, and The Environment. I believe the evidence shows that hemp was made illegal not due to any "drug" aspect of it, as there is none. It was outlawed because the Dupont family pressured lawmakers due to the incredibly versatile nature of hemp, which would interfere with many of their developing products.
There's a mic hum, but it's bearable.

you may hear a faint "Legalize!" scream when dr paul talks about hemp & medical marijuana, etc... Who this mysteriously loud person was is yet unknown; but it is further rumored that the same person started a "free the weed" chant during the same part of this speech.
Yes, this was a most awesome affair indeed.
