Ron Paul endorses Chuck Baldwin so now we know who to get behind

After Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin, I was going to vote for him, even though I wasn't happy with his answer on the-day-after-pill as some of you may have read.
Q: Do you support the day after pill as does Ron Paul.
A: People from political parties of every spectrum are crossing over to support me because of my stand on illegal immigration and repealing NAFTA, CAFTA, and the SPP.
That was the jist of it anyway. I assume that meant "NO."
So then I went to hear someone from the Constitution Party speak last week. His whole speech sounded like a sermon rather than what he stands for politically. He didn't state what he would do on any issue except mentioned something about closing down gay clubs.
I approached the man after his speech and asked him, "You said something about closing down gay clubs. Do you mean you would make gay clubs illegal and shut them down if you were elected?"
Constitution Candidate: "Yes I would."
Me: "Ron Paul has said it is not the government's place to legislate morality.
Constitution Candidate: "Ron Paul is wrong. It's his Libertarian views that cost him the election. No major political figure would endorse him because of his Libertarian views."
Me: "Is it really the the governments right to enact laws to enforce morality. Even though we find prostitution offensive, I don't think it's the government's write to tell people what they can do with their own bodies."
Constitution Candidate: "You need to read the preamble to the Constitution and it will explain why the government has that write. The Constitution was inspired by our creator. This is Gods law. It gives us the right to enforce Gods law whether it goes against the will of the majority or the minority because it is Gods law."
Me: "The Eagle's Forum has said in relation to preemptive war, God is not preemptive. God lets people make their own decisions and then he judges the accordingly. Shouldn't people be allowed to make their own decisions and then leave it to God to judge people?"
Constitution Candidate: "We have the right to make laws to stop people from committing murder. We have the right make laws so people will stop at stop signs. We can make laws to stop gay nightclubs or marriage. Go read the preamble to the Constitution and then you will under stand. Natural Law is Gods law."
I called him out on this on a radio station the next day, but he denied ever saying he would make gay night clubs illegal. A few people called in to tell him off, but he claimed we were people who were not educated in the principles of the Constitution.
I know Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin, but I think this was a big mistake. Chuck Baldwin was close friends with Jerry Falwell, and was head of the Moral Majority in Florida.
These men believe they have the right to interpret God's law and enforce it as they see fit against the will of the people.
I should have asked when the witch burnings in Salem should be resurrected.
We have Ralph Nader, Bob Barr, and Cynthia McKinney. These are great candidates. I would suggest going for one of them. Nader would work to bring our jobs back from China. Any of these candidates will end the Patriot Act.
I don't get that impression from Baldwin. He's been very clear about respecting the rights of any religion, or atheism, and not letting his religion influence his constitutional duties. He makes me a littel skittish when he refers to his "evangelical brothers and sisters," but I generally think he seems like a good guy. I could be wrong.
Regarding this wingnut you ran into, why did he keep bringing up the preamble to the Constitution? It doesn't say anything about God's law. For the record, it says,
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Maybe he "needs to read the Constitution." This is just what made me suspicious of Baldwin, but I don't think he's like that. One thing is for sure: I KNOW Barr is an a****le. So, I'm still going with Baldwin.

He claims somewhere in there it states "Natural Law," and "Natural Law" means God's Law and the 10 Commandments.

You read how Baldwin answered my question on "The Day After Pill." Has anyone here personally asked him some specific questions to pin him down and see what his replies were?
Noorlander has a totally different concept of "Liberty" than the rest of us. He thinks it means doing God's work rather than having the freedom to live your own life as you see fit.

I don't believe gay people should have special rights, but I do believe they should have equal rights. Ralph Nader might actually be a better pick if people want to protect personal freedoms, and stop industry from moving to China.
We can debate religion later.
The Constitution Party is far too heavy-handed on religious issues. They seem to want a Christian nation, which I believe is un-American and against what the founders fought for.
I'm holding hands with you on suspicion of anyone that was ever part of the "Moral Majority." However, I've listened to the guy, and he doesn't sound half as bad in person as the website makes him out to be. Someone should tell him how damaging that website is to him.
I decided he is the best person to vote for, and I believe I felt just like you. He is for just about everything we are for, but is a little overtly religious for our tastes in a politician. He is the only candidate for ending the Federal Reserve, withdrawing from the United Nations, getting out of Iraq, and eventually ending the welfare state. The other candidates all are opposed to at least one of those positions. Think it over. I've decided to vote for the guy and support him. I hope you will consider it and don't mind me suggesting.

Ask Chuck Baldwin some real questions and watch him dodge the answer.
I will keep my mind open and do some more research on him.
