Repeated broadcasting at night...
Posted by Knetic on Mon, 08/04/2008 - 09:39 inI know late-night (as in, midnight - 4:00am pst) isn't exactly a peak time for activity, but i've been disappointed to see the same programming for over a week. While interesting, it's old, and i'm not able to watch BTM during the day (odd hours).
I know it's no easy task to make/find quality material, but there doesn't seem any reason to me to re-broadcast the same stuff at all the same times every day. I assume there's new stuff on during the day/evening, why not cycle some of that into the deadspace times for people like me who aren't able to see it during the day?
Also, on second point, perhaps taking some long-broadcast material once or twice a week. say, something like this 45-minute Milton Friedman interview. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PaN9M4WwHw)
Seems a good way to give more variety to BTM, make it more varied and give it more legitimacy as a real "TV" station, and give a less, well, angst-based feel.

Under the video feed, there is an on-demand button. There, you can watch shows from hosts who have enabled their program to be on-demand accessible. That way, you can watch your favorite shows, any day, any time of the week!

Could a link for "audio only" be eventually added to BTM. At times we might not be able to devote all our old computer power to running the full video feed. But we still want to hear the dialog and general info on programs.
Glad BTM is up and running.
