I tried changing my profile image multiple times by uploading a JPEG pic but keep getting the message, "Oops! there was a problem ... The selected file /tmp/tmp_0Xobbc could not be copied."

I then changed the file to a BMP format and was able to successfully upload my pic. However, now it's not being resized when I do posts and instead remains the same size as the original picture.
