Hello all!

As you may have noticed, we are in the process of gathering and reviewing freedom-oriented video content for our cable/satellite television network. (And, yes, it will be available on the internet too!)

We've already received a number of great tips, and as a result, are creating this thread to be the new official place to submit videos for consideration.

When you submit something, include a brief overview of what it is, and why you think it is important for mainstream Americans to see.

And again.... you know the drill - vote up if you like, down if you don't, and please add a comment explaining your vote.

I'll keep this post updated with our progress, so check back often!

Thanks!!!

Shelly

The power of nightmares

This film explores the origins in the 1940s and 50s of Islamic Fundamentalism in the Middle East, and Neoconservatism in America, parallels between these movements, and their effect on the world today. From the introduction to Part 1:

"Both [the Islamists and Neoconservatives] were idealists who were born out of the failure of the liberal dream to build a better world. And both had a very similar explanation for what caused that failure. These two groups have changed the world, but not in the way that either intended. Together, they created today's nightmare vision of a secret, organized evil that threatens the world. A fantasy that politicians then found restored their power and authority in a disillusioned age. And those with the darkest fears became the most powerful.

Awesome 3 part documentary.

Two documentaries perhaps

The first is a documentary with some really good interviews about the Ruby Ridge massacre. It illustrates how big brother and it's abuses is almost a self fullfilling phrophecy because of the paranoia (and the need to now and again have a reason for the millions of dollars put towards swat, atf, etc)

The second documentary is called "The Energy Non-Crisis". I don't know how I feel about it and it's validity, but it certainly got my mind thinking and the conversation flowing.

I'd vote that those should be added.

1 vote up for those documentaries.

I like this documentary

.......................... http://alternativeconservative.com/caucus http://mrxfromplanetx.com/naomi-wolf http://inflationtax.blogspot.com .......................................................................................................

BUT, people can't handle the part about religion. Too many people will be so freaked out about it they won't be able to see the rest of the content. Maybe a warning could be plaid at the beginning, "If you are a devout Christian, be advised this film is not recommended for you."

I have seen people just totally freaking about this film:

  1. Are they freaking about the Federal Reserve? No.
  2. Are they freaking about about the Federal Government or CIA having a hand in the World Trade Center? No.
  3. They are freaking out because someone is saying the Bible isn't what we were told it is, even though that can all be verified.

It would probably be good to show this film first:

Robert Beckford's "Who Wrote The Bible" I don't know if it could be purchased from U.K. Channel 4 though.

Freedom Force International: An Idea Who's Time has Come

"Freedom Force International is a network of men and women from all parts of the world who are concerned over loss of personal liberty and expansion of government power. They are not mere complainers. They have a plan to do something about it. They also share a common belief in The Creed of Freedom, which is a statement of principles that guide them in their mission to build a better world. "

Essentially a well-done documentary on all of the unfair and unbalanced techniques which FoxNews uses to persuade their viewers to adopt Fox's opinion on their news.

BraveHeart

William Wallace takes on the British Crown 470ish years before the American Revolutionaries.

Braveheart - Freedom

Every time BraveHeart is on, I'm overcome with this desire to kick England's ass - hopefully with a different outcome than Wallace's.

The TED talks

I think these (at least some of these) would be GREAT on BTM. They're probably some of the best talks given, ever. The YouTube channel is here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/TEDtalksDirector

One that I like is Steven Levitt of Freakonomics on whether we really need children's car seats: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=um5gMZcZWm0

There are also great talks from Bjorn Lomborg, Murray Gell-Mann, and many other greats.

It's usually the upstarts and freethinkers that know what's going on. Sometimes, people don't pay attention until its too late.

Nobody listens to me either.

good one

I'd like this one to be used to tell the tale we live in.

I know they didn't intend

I know they didn't intend this, but I think A Bug's Life is a very nice free market treatise. Under corruption, they were starving. Once they overthrew their oppressors and embraced Flick's free market innovations, they had plenty of food to waste on fake fireworks.
