Keith Baxter Joins BreakTheMatrix As Creative Director In Hollywood
BreakTheMatrix is pleased to announce that Keith Baxter has joined the company as Creative Director in Hollywood. Mr. Baxter (48) has a long and distinguished career as a writer, director, producer and music composer over a period of more than 20 years at major Hollywood studios. Keith will be responsible for oversight and production of all BreakTheMatrix television content, beginning with our entertainment television shows "The Public Trust" and "Liberty and Nemesis" presently in the production planning stage. Mr. Baxter starts in his new position at BreakTheMatrix in August, 2008.
Keith was born and raised in Prince George, British Columbia, and he is a lifelong libertarian and freedom lover. In 1980, Mr. Baxter left Canada and came to California, where he studied at the Hollywood Musicians Institute. In 1985, Mr. Baxter embarked on dual careers in music and animation, working as a Character Designer at Filmation Studios, and beginning in 1988 Keith went to work for Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank as a writer and director of animation features. He was a pioneer in computer animation at Warner Bros., where he directed "Marvin the Martian," a stereoscopic theme park animation feature starring Daffy Duck and (who else?) Marvin the Martian. Mr. Baxter was with Warner Bros. for five years writing and producing entertainment features, as well as commercials for national companies including Pepsi Cola and Parker Brothers.
In 1994, Mr. Baxter went to Dreamworks Studios, where he worked as a writer, show runner and songwriter on numerous television animation features such as "Toonsylvania." Thereafter, Mr. Baxter went to Disney Studios, where he directed multiple projects featuring Mickey Mouse and Winnie The Pooh. During his years at Disney, Keith wrote story on such features as "Tigger," "Junglebook 2," "Lion King 1 1/2," and "Home on the Range." Over his long career, Mr. Baxter has also composed numerous television musical theme works, including themes for "The Mask," "Beethoven," and "Hitz."
Most recently, Keith worked again at Dreamworks for a second stint as a writer, animator and director. Mr. Baxter worked on such Dreamworks features as "Sharktail," "Flushed Away," Shrek The Halls," and Madagascar 2." Mr. Baxter also composed the songs for "Flushed Away," and he produced and directed more than a dozen Dreamworks features in his capacity as Supervising Writer and Director of Short Films. Mr. Baxter is also the author of a recently released childrens' book "Scrambled Ink," published by Dark Horse Publishers.
We welcome Keith Baxter in his new position as head of our BreakTheMatrix Hollywood creative team.

What a pleasure to have you in the family.
Let's have some fun!
Quite an impressive resume - - glad to see someone as accomplished as this helping out the cause. Creativity is something that cannot be taught (like geometry or something) but certainly seems to be contagious. Infect us all :)
i THINK SOMEONE SHOULD DO A DOCUMENTARY ON THIS ELECTION, AND HOW rON pAUL WAS SYSTEMATICALLY (OOPS)
ummm, systematically censored, bullied, and his views distorted.
So much video is available, it would just take putting together by a good editor, with a voice over...
I think the media's blatant disregard for Democratic ideals is an important issue.
Remember, John McCain was all for the media's handling of Ron Paul, and now he whines about how they treat Obama better than he...
i could not possibly agree with you more Scott.

I know you will do an awesome job! We are very lucky to have you here.
This is a great! I am very excited that BTM has attracted this type of talent. It will really raise the level of programming here immensely.
Of course, that means that Rick won't be allowed to sing on the air anymore and I probably won't be allowed on the air at all, but you have to take the good with the bad! :)
Seriously, congratulations on a fine addition to your team.
