Incumbents in this and future elections
As our economic crisis continues to unfold and I see our Congressional leaders continue to sell the middle class down the road, one thought seems to keep popping into my head. Why do we let them continue to do what they do?
Wouldn't it be better to get rid of EVERY incumbent that is running this year. Maybe, just maybe, that would send a message to our Congress that they better do what is right for US not them.
I have always been a conservative republican but, with the exception of Ron Paul, even they have sold us down the road to the interests of big business and bigger government.
I say, vote out EVERY incumbent whether he or she is a republican or democrat. The only exception would be one that you know FOR A FACT is working on our behalf. Let's get some new blood and new ideas into our government. Let's get some elected officials that won't use the system towards their own gain.
And to follow up, keep track of promises made by the newly elected. Keep track of how they vote. If they want to keep their jobs they need to know that they are accountable by us, the voters!
