The irony here might be that some of our comedians, comedy venues and websites along with a large portion of pop culture actually contain plenty of "truthiness" as well as some libertarian/common sense/conservative ideals. Whearas the MSM News more or less contains a heaping helping of corporate shills just like the majority of our politicians, toeing the line for big pharma, military industrial complex, ect... Of course you would have to include the shallow nature of the consumers of this "information" in the analysis. Additionally I've questioned the logic of those who on the one hand criticize the "sheeple" (who can't handle folks like Alex Jones) and on the other hand do nothing but "assault" the same folks, like friends and family with Alex Jones. If you were serious about addressing people and issues at the level people are comfortable with than you would almost be required to incorporate some elements of pop culture, comedy, or other entertainment.
