We have what is called the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. Not a perfect system but my wife and I live on a very modist income and have 3 young children.

My wife has very bad angina and without the NHS I do not know where we would be.

I watched Sicko by Mr Moore and the thought of my wife being an insurance write-off is enough to put me off of the US style system forever.

I am a doctor. I deal with 3rd party payor systems all day long including medicare. These programs are the true slave masters.

People have been trained to always ask permission from their insurance before they go to the doctor.
They have been trained that they are too stupid to take care of themselves. Things are too complex and must have lawyers around to keep things straight.
They have been trained to wait for a crisis, then blame others for their diseases and ailments, and sue if the outcome isn't to thier satisfaction.

Once you have been trained to ask permission to take care of your own body, why would you ever think to be responsible for any other part of your life?

If you don't even own your body, you are truely a slave.

I'm only 16, but I have insurance throught my dads work.
I can't believe illegals get free health insurance through our
corrupt government. Makes me sick. Me and my family will be
paying for this political mess. I hope the politicians of this country pay
dearly for their mistakes.

I have to find a way to say this clearly and succinctly, but you cannot be against Bush and for universal healthcare, or you are confused. Yes, Bush has threatened many of our "civil liberties," but his crimes are merely the last stage of crimes we have all perpetrated together. The central "civil liberty" is property rights - the right to the fruits of your labor. Without that, the other "liberties" are just window dressing. THe fruits of your labor are your means of survival. Without an UNALIENABLE right to them, you are a slave. A slave that can say what he wishes, practice what religion he wishes, petition a court to get out of jail, but who must surrender whatever portion of the fruits of his labor that society deems fit, is still a slave. Once you have made man a slave, Bush is the logical end to which you go. Illegal immigration would be a minor problem if we didn't have to worry that the illegals would use up entitlement programs - drawing on our plunder and causing us to plunder each other more. The answer is not so much to keep them out, but to stop the practice of legal plunder that gives them an incentive to come for the wrong reasons. If they were coming to be productive and trade freely with us, we'd be rolling out the red carpet.

If you have not read The Road to Serfdom, I implore you to do so. Hayek watched just what we are watching happen here happen in Germany and he makes an overwhelming case in his book that Naziism was the logical result of socialism - that socialism is the road to serfdom.

This is Congress's Fault. We need to vote out these Criminals. The first to
go in my opinion is" nancy pelosy and harry reid. I am sick and tired of a hand
full of Idiots telling us true Americans what we can and can't do! We sit here
and complain and hope someone else will do something! I for one am going to

also is on her own insurance. Just my opinion. I sure wished I still lived in the "Good Old Days"

That was my Only Question.
I don't think she was planning to be on camera when this unlikely fellow
walked up and suprised her. Then she GRABBED his mike. Nothing scripted
like the likes of Mr. Elite Obama!!
And being of the "Older" populas she might have meant something relating to
her age which would have her Not knowing about universal health care. That would not
even have been in her understanding at her age!
Thats my take on it.
God Bless her for speaking out. I do believe in a Supreme Being. Pray we win this
conflict. if its Gods will.
