Type of Content: Article I was gonna post this in Tom Mullens article, but i didnt wanna take away from his work. Though after reading the first paragraph i had to get this off my chest. A lot of people never heard of it, some people dont remember it, but some recall the day, it haunts their dreams. The day the war on terror officially became a huge fking joke.
yes folks I'm refering to the day the Moonites of Aqua Teen Hunger Force (stupid adult cartoon) unleashed a horrific attack on Boston. An attack whose magnitude only pales in comparison to... For those who don't recall the event, here is a brief summary. Lite Brites advertising a movie that was to be released, featuring these characters, were plastered all over several major cities. Some how the fine people at Boston PD came under the impression that these were bombs. And so chaos ensued. Wikipedia captures this moment in time. heres a video, screw it may as well go multimedia with it. I think this moment in times marks the instance where everyone under 26 with half a brain who got wind of this story, realized the war on terror was a joke. they can pass all the laws and strip away all the rights they want but if the police in a major metropolitan city cant tell the difference between LEDs and IEDs, then we're all pretty much screwed.
