I'm shocked. I will never forgive bureaucrats if this comes to pass. I won't wear it. What's next? Airlines are bad enough as it is. The last thing I need is a pissed off, overworked and underpaid stewardess with an attitude- and a draconian torture device!!! How about they just disperse some airborne tranquilizers through the ventilation system, there's more money for the "constituents" in drugs anyway. That way no one will be awake to hijack the plane. Wait, maybe business class passengers can opt out? We business class passengers should should at least get our own buzzer, just in case one of the peons from coach tries to use the business class lavatory we can put em out.
Seems to me a great way to hijack a plane under these conditions would be to learn how to get control of the bracelet activator.
It's interesting to see freedom-minded people discussing ways to circumvent this. Kind of makes you think long and hard about how a terrorist might already plot to circumvent this as well...
Taking control of the activator is one step for sure, but advancing on a trigger happy steward/stewardess is a sure fire way to get them to deploy their mini-emp in a pre-emptive strike... I'm wondering if there is some sort of plastic shielding one could slip between their skin and the bracelet that would render the emp useless? I mean, it's something that could easily slip through a luggage inspection at the gate wouldn't you say?
10 years ago I'd say "There's no way our government could possibly think the American people would ever accept this. This is the fastest way to bankrupt every airline", but now... I'm not so sure. The government is getting pretty darned good at using fear tactics to scare the American sheeple population into accepting any civil rights violations in exchange for their "safety". {{ UGH }}
My oldest is a captain for Alaska Airlines.
He's not sure how this is going to play out?
Bush and company needs to answer for this.

i don't know if you know that given that assumption, money is the root of all evil, it can actually be proven mathematically that women are evil.
1. women require time and money:
women = time x money
2. time is money
time = money
3. it can be deduced that
women = money x money = (money)^2
4. money is the root of all evil
money = sqrt(evil)
5. therefore,
women = (sqrt(evil))^2
or
women = evil
mathematical proof !!!
IF this be the case, and the price of fuel keeps going UP^ The Airlines will
just go out of business? Some have already. Somethings got to give!
