Type of Content: Video This CBS Report is about the massive suicide rate of our Iraq War vet soldiers. Seems that public records are being hidden from the press. Note that only 45 states actually provide information for only the year 2005. Why is the suicide rate 120 per WEEK so high for that year? Why are they not reporting the other years? Could the rest of the years be even higher? If these estimates are consistant with the entire time we have been in Iraq the total suicide rate could be reaching near 40,000 troops. Please watch this CBS report and spread it around! Read »

So If I am seeing this correctly, we lost more soldiers in 2005 by their own hands than in the total deaths from 2003-present in the war by our enemies? Astonishing, truly a sad state of affairs.

that would certainly be humongous news, It would be hard for an administration that leads so many troops to suicide to claim they are supporting the troops
Children that have died I say would be the best reason. Also the fact that the country will have to suffer the effects of DU for thousands of years to come.
The numbers of Iraqi people that have died is unreal and I agree with you it is as important and the Iraqi children death rate is gut wrenching, additionally 10,000 US soldiers are AWOL from the Military many for the fact that they killed innocent people there and dont want to anymore goto www.couragetoresist.com for more on their stories. This was not meant to belittle the lives of ANY person who has died from the war but to point out that soldiers are taking their own lives many probably for that very reason.
