Not surprising. The role of mainstream media are to protect the elite, their owners, from public scrutiny. They're doing a pretty good job, but it kills their credibility, which is why people watch them. Competition we bloggers and citizen journalists give to mainstream media will force them to do one of two things, both of which will eventually put them out of business. Either they will continue hiding the truth and everyone stops watching them, or they will try to compete with us and start telling the truth, even some portion of it, which will give our movement much more credibility and momentum. Either way, we the people win. It's just a matter of time, dedication and patience.
but isn't MSNBC the news? I would agree it should get more coverage. I don't bother watching the network evening news shows anymore - ever since they put Katie Couric out there I've just assumed they're not even trying to keep up the veneer of journalism anymore.
P.S. Not to mention this buffoon - wasn't he a sportscaster? Is this our idea of a politically saavy reporter now?

Good point Tom. To be honest, I don't really consider all of mainstream media bad. There are people who at least give our movement some fair coverage. Keith Olbermann is not exactly at the top of my favorites lists, but at least he tells the truth about George W. Bush, as much as he can get away with anyway. I really like Jack Cafferty, Lou Dobbs and even that finance lady on Fox. Her name escapes me now. This is part of what I was saying in the above post. Any semblence of truth that we get out of mainstream media is good, because at the very least it validates our cause simply by their mentioning it. Lou Dobbs talks at length about the NAU. Olbermann blasts Bush on a regular basis. Fox now features Ron Paul as their go to guy for financial matters. We're seeing what started as incremental gains in mainstream exposure starting to cascade overwhelmingly, almost to the point of disbelief. I'm utterly amazed by our progress over the last year, but I've been hard at this stuff for over ten years now. Mainstream media are the last bastion of mind control that we must overcome to remain a free nation. It's happening and we're part of it. Please spread the word about http://dvds4delegates.com. A call to arms
With every gut-shot Iraqi child, limp in a grieving parent’s arms, we see a bullet that is sold. And a profit that is made. With every suffering, limbless soldier, the military-industrial complex sees a reason to persist. And finds more profits to be made. With every tank that’s ripped-apart, with every screaming, dying civilian, the White House imagines a "surge" that is working. And sees a profit for a friend.
A government that endorses mass murder for profit, and calls it war, deserves no latitude. It deserves a cage.
And so do we, if we stand by in passive assent. Every American deserves what he tolerates. The time for tolerance is over.
There’s only one candidate for President of the United States in 2008 who has the depth of understanding, and the character, necessary to place meaningful restraints upon our profit-centered system of cowardly warmongering – Ron Paul.
Positions of Dr. Paul’s that would help achieve this objective include:
Getting rid of the Federal Reserve (bank of the new world order), which functions as the financial enabler of war, as well as its head-coach.
Forcing politicians in favor of war to make a formal declaration of war, as specified in the Constitution.
To which I would add:
Patriotism requires that the profit-motive be put-aside in time of war. Therefore, financially profiting from a soldier’s courage, and, possibly, from the sacrifice of a soldier’s life, should be forbidden by law.
By law, every elected representative espousing war must either personally ship-off to battle, or, send a close family member in his stead.
The Ron Paul Revolution is, among other things, a revolution to reclaim our original American spirit, a spirit mangled, at least since the time of Lincoln, by the passive acceptance, and tacit encouragement, of state-sponsored mass-murder for profit.
With God’s help, it is a revolution that will come to pass, I now stand armed and at the ready. Even so, Lord Jesus come quickly!

This video clip is particularly disturbing with regard to Nancy Pelosi. She allowed her blatant disregard for constitutional rule of law to be documented for our later use. It is beyond obvious how completely and wrongly influenced she is by the White House. The good news is that truth cannot be contained for very long. There are too many people aware of what is happening. We are watching perhaps the most horrible collection of crimes in history being exposed before our very eyes. We bloggers are painting mainstream media into a corner, forcing them to report on this stuff if they want to maintain the slightest thread of credibility. They are in competition with the citizen journalists on YouTube, Google Video, Break The Matrix and other sources of raw information.
