This morning, Fox and Friends discussed former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan’s tell-all book above a chyron reading “Lack of Credibility.” Co-host Gretchen Carlson warned that McClellan’s “skeletons” would be exposed now that he has “betrayed” the president:

CARLSON: Scott McClellan better not have any skeletons in his closet. I hope he didn’t do anything that he doesn’t want the world to know about because we all have, and all of his secrets are going to be coming out.

Something Scott Didn't Know

No doubt Scott McClellan never heard the rest of the story about the kid who yelled out, "The emperor has no clothes!" There were soon rumors about bed wetting, followed by charges of torturing small animals, pushing old ladies down stairs, etc. Even worse, there were no book deals.

"And what is this liberty, whose very name makes the heart beat faster and shakes the world?" -- Frederic Bastiat

Funny indeed

The visual I get from all this is that of a group of rats fleeing a sinking ship whereupon they get lucky and they swim onto a tiny deserted island. However, the luck was only a temporary illusion. All alone, with nothing else to eat - the dirty rats devour themselves one by one.

They should have just let themselves drown a peaceful quiet death.

Either way, good riddance to bad rubbish.

I don't think they were

I don't think they were making THAT comparison. It was a comparison against implying Bush did cocainne at a party in the book.

They attack the book and the person instead of the issues raised in it of course. As if it's even relevant in any miniscule way whether McClellan is a 'good' person or not. Why don't they go try and find out if the things he is saying are true. Try some journalism out if they're bored..

This whole clown show would be hilarious if not so sad

isn't that an amazing post

Scott McClellan's possible personal skeletons are being held up as much 'fair game' as Bush's political crimes against the citizens of the US? Like they are somehow morally equivalent? That explicit threat on Fox is absolutely appalling, are they explicitly declaring themselves to be tools of George Dubya?

I'm sure if they don't find some, they will manufacture some. Seen the movie.

Seen the movie played by the neocons and the ooberliberals.

I am so thankful that Ron Paul sticks to debating principles. It doesn't surprise me at all how much more decent, noble, and honorable that makes him look. And I think that what people see is that his decency is not mere appearance, it is who he is.
