Type of Content: Article Brian Williams, Nov. 28: “We could use some FDR right about now.” Those who are knowledgeable of the true nature of the Roosevelt administration are excused while they barf. We can certainly expect Roosevelt's name will be brought up more and more frequently as the time for the coronation of a new god-figure approaches. Vast numbers of Americans have been taught all of their lives that FDR was the saviour of not only the United States, but the whole world as well. It is common “knowledge” that he led this country through the Great Depression, then as an encore, led the Allies in defeating Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. It is not difficult to figure out that the reason why FDR has been made such a mythical being goes far beyond any affection some people might feel toward him. The narrative of his administration is the cornerstone of the myth about the necessity and desirability of having centralized control over our lives. A tremendous amount of effort has been put into to cultivating American thought to not only automatically accept the notion that when the government creates a disaster the solution for handling it is more government, but to demand it. There is little chance of succeeding in the task of restoring the Republic without the destruction of the Great Roosevelt Myth. It certainly will not be an easy task, but the writings and scholarly works that are available to us will be of great assistance. With the 67 anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor coming up shortly, I have decided to start posting as of today a series content linking articles that are anchored to some extent around that event. I am labeling this effort “Nine Days of Infamy.” The first installation is “FDR, Pearl Harbor and the U.N.” By John V.
