While I agree with some of the points made in the article, it would carry a lot more weight if it didn't come
from this website. As member of the brainwashed post-baby boomer generation, I have to say that I fully
enjoy television. If you go in with a brain to be washed, then it's fairly easy to navigate the boob tube without
losing your ability to think for yourself. When it comes to politics, it is true that "the media" has reduced
the public to salivating lap dogs, but I thought that's what we were here to combat?

The apathy of the American public has nothing to do with being brainwashed by television...That's just one of the symptoms, or one of the tools. It's the gradual erosion of our ability to fend for ourselves that makes us want to count on the government for more and more of our basic needs. That's a topic for another time...

Hey, if it makes anyone feel any better, I've been watching TV for over forty years and I still think environmentalists are crazy and that animals were put here for my pleasure, to do with as I please.
