Early commenters about BTM t--shirts have raised an important issue that I believe deserves a "philosophical" thread of its own in the forums. We elected not to use "made in America" as a limiting criteria for our initial shirt vendor company. At least for me personally, I've always been persuaded by the Lew Rockwell/Mises Institute writings that free and open trade is the great protector of peace and prosperity among nations. But we at BTM also recognize that "buying American" is a significant market driver for some people-- including some among our members. So we perceive that it's only common sense (and good business) to fulfill this desire to the extent feasible. We'll be expanding our BTM product list over time (we're just getting started these days), and I think it's a good idea to offer "made in America" products that are specifically identified as such. That way, the free market can decide. R
If you don't have to carry inventory, at least carry both the "Made in America" version and the import. The lower price of the import will remind us of how unproductive/uncompetitive America has become. (not that this crowd will likely forget).

you mean that because of the actions of our Federal Government that we have to a large extent become unproductive/uncompetitive.
I spent 30 yrs in manufacturing and personally witnessed the destruction of our manufacturing base. We are productive and competitive when the playing field is level. When you are competing against a country that can make and ship an item overseas for less than you can in material costs, something is very very wrong.
American made garments (whats left) are the finest quality in the world and I will gladly pay twice the price for them.
have experience with hemp clothing. I see that some shirts are 50%? hemp. Do they maintain their size better than cotton? What about comfort?
And yes, I would like to know if they are Made USA also.
WHERE are these shirts made???
Shirts in the BTM store that are from 'American Apparel' are made in the USA (actually in Los Angeles). As we continue to expand our line, we hope to be able to include more American-made products.
We need some bumper stickers and hats as well. Hope there is more to come. This is a great idea!
