As some of you may know, I am a homeschool mom. I'm a new home school mom, but I have chosen to take responsibility for the education of our children none the less. The decision did not come easy. It came after a year and a half of public education "try outs". Public school works perfectly fine for many children and parents but it was not working for us.

You will find that I may post a lot of articles here relating to education. This would be because as a new homeschool mom I am interested in what others think of our current school system. I don't claim to know all the answers, actually I feel quite strongly that all the answers depend on the individual child whose education is in question.

Regardless of what the majority of the general public would like to think, we are not all equal. We all excel at different things. We all enjoy different hobbies, sports, books, music and so on. It is my belief that we all have a place, even if we do not yet know what that place is. Here is a good example:

To address the topic of this article I am referring you to, it calls into question our concept of "schooling". Will our current public school system succeed?
