This is an excerpt: "I know about the rising gas prices, the cost of my mortgage (the two things NOT calculated in the cost of living index!) and the price of a dozen eggs and know that it’s costing me twice as much today as it did last year to just stay alive. I look around me from my position on the perch inside the box and look at the crowds beneath me. There I see thousands upon thousands of people in the same boat-struggling every week to fill their tanks-physical and vehicular-and losing their homes to ruthless banks. I see a level of discontent that sounds like a hum, a wave of sorts running through the masses. From one person to the next, it’s spreading, and it’s spread is not being checked.
