After all, local officials had assured townspeople in 1999 that the levee was sturdy enough to withstand a historic flood, and FEMA had agreed. It's best to listen to the Fed with the idea that the truth is the opposite of what they are saying
Next time, no faith in feds. As soon as Katrina happened, that should have been clue enough. You can't guarantee against an act of God! That's the whole point of it...
