What's even sadder, current precedent prevents the defendant in federal court from using the fact that a) medical marijuana is legal in California under state law and b) he was licensed by the city to provide said marijuana to qualifying patients. This goes beyond the issue of the federal government getting too large and directly implicates a defendant's 6th amendment right to present a defense. This has to stop.
